The ironic thing is that the one who gets the fight last will probably be in the bigger fight......

(so I don't know why they would argue to be first..)

Kessler could have been that qualifier but he stepped aside.

Come on mate.... let's be fair.

    He did not 'step aside'.

It would be just as fair (or unfair) to say "Bute could have had the qualifier but he did not wish to risk enough for it to happen".

    you see?

We all need to start being fair on this - otherwise these arguments will continue.

In reality, Bute has not had the qualifier because the fights with Kessler and Froch did not happen.. for whatever reason (let's leave it at that).

I'd assume if Ward wins he'll want Bute as Ward has already beaten Kessler.

If Froch wins he'll want to prove he can beat Kessler.

Sorry to contradict you brother but if you gather that info from the interview Jean Bedard gave yesterday to CKAC sports, then it's not accurate.

Bedard said he contacted the people representing Kessler a second time after Pavlik turned his back on them down but made no mention of a second offer to Kessler. He actually said that the negotiations between Kessler and Steiglitz were coming to fruitition at that precise moment but provided no further detail.

After that he went on saying that Interbox makes offers yet nobody makes offers to Interbox.

That being said, I wish Bute's detractors would explain the subtleties of the Doublethink language. On one hand the revered and loved ones (i.e. Kessler) get away with taking less money to fight a lesser champion in his pissyard (for half the purse btw) while, on the other hand, the rejected and dishonorable ones (i.e. Bute) are dragged through the mud, being called ''duckers'', ''homers'', ''lowballers'', ''want the lion's share'' and whatnot, if their offer is said to be ''too low''. ****ing hilarious.

Mate... just please put a sock in it. :smooch

Enough already ... we have been through that a million times... both Kessler and Bute have had people call them duckers etc (not only Bute although he is the one you chose to defend). Fact is we don't know the facts, and if we did I think we would find that both are trying to optimize their own interests... and that really should be no surprise to any of us.

The final proof that Kessler is a *****. I doubt he will ever rematch Ward.

You sound fair today. One of your previous post is brilliant and I fully agree with it.

BUT: you have bitched Interbox, saying their offer was not good, that they were offering ridiculous money to Kessler, over and over and over again, and today we learn that Kessler will earn far less money to face Stieglitz. Interbox don't have the Eurepean TV market. They receive 2M$ from

I agree completely with your previous post about the situation but it doesn't look at all as the dozens of posts you wrote these last weeks.

    Who is the real JoeAverage?

Thanks for rectifying about the call Interbox made to Kessler.

About the double standards, I feel the same as you do. Bute would get tons of **** if he was the one taking less money to fight a lesser fighter.

You, of all people with hundreds of accusatory posts to their credit, tell me to put a sock in it? Oh the irony!

Now for the fantasy matchup of the day: Black Pot vs. Black Kettle, who wins and how?

I really has nothing to do with double standards. Kessler is the proven fighter of the two, Kessler has proven time and time again that he is able to land the biggest fight. He is not the one who is in "need" of named fighters to be taken seriously.

I don't see the part with the WBC emeritus champion in that statement... must of miss it.

I still feel the I-box offer was a lowball as Kessler was to take the small piece of the pie even though he was the one to travel.

As for the purses here, well it appears as if SES has done an outstanding job for Stieglitz ensuring that he gets paid handsomely for a fight he is expected to lose. I don't think it's a fair split here either; something like 66% Stieglitz to 33% Kessler, as it is Kessler who's the main attraction here.

Of course the german TV-money might not have been there had Stieglitz not fought. But then again the german TV basically inhibits danish PPV's as ARD is watchable in nearly all of Denmark.

    A difficult calculation......

Anyways it's all-in-all a pretty hefty sum generated for this fight. I think we can agree that far.

Back to back to back undefeated Andrade, Calzaghe and Sartison and back to back undefeated Ward and Froch...Yep, all we needed was this final proof that he was a *****. Trolling, sarcasm or dumbass? It doesn't even matter. Funny either way. :good

The August movie still thread tournament is still up for grabs, Brother Beast.
