Who knows how much Vasquez and Marquez made in Saturday's boxing classic? I have heard a few reports but all differ. Can we settle the record straight?
this kind of info is not always released I read this on the sherdog forum The thing is in these type of fights often there is no purse bid but rather an agreement between the promoters which is why its hard to get the info.
Really. Its a crime when you look at the paydays of the PBF/Oscar fight compared to 2 guys that ipitomized the sport. :-(

Bull****, their bodies wont take much more weight, especially Marquez, its traditional the little guys get paid less, while the HW do jack **** and get paid the earth for it :nut
Marquez made a little over 400k and vasquez a little over 700k... Mayweather is making more for his wrestling match with Big show then marquez made Spinks made more then twice as much as marquez made when he fought judah unbelievable and unacceptable
That is complete bull****. When you put on arguably the greatest trilogy of all time you should be making alot more. Just because they are smaller doesnt mean they cant make as much. If you had to pick a fight that deserved the highest purse of the year, im sure none of you would have a problem giving that to those two guys.
MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY------they are men---this "smaller" story is so much bull****----Yet the promoter/boxers dangle 10 to 20 million$ carrots at each other to arrange safer exhibition type fights which normally end up being tame affairs .. :smoke :smoke
you can't just look at a fight in hindsight and say "after that performance the fighters deserved a bigger or smaller purse" the boxer's purse is relative to the amount of revenue that he can generate so if the fans feel that a fighter should be earning bigger purses then its up to them to mobilize for his next fight. Really in the end if anyone is the blame its the fans
