What are you going on about?

I literally said there's an argument he's no longer in his prime.

No, I pick Jones to win.

    Why would I dislike him?

There isn't even an argument is there.

The version of Roy who Glen fought was damaged goods.

He didn't even resemble the versions who'd fought Toney, Hill and Griffin etc.

You're arguing that Jones wasn't in his prime right now.

You're literally preaching to the choir.

The difference between me and you is I don't try forcing my opinions onto others, I presented the thread with arguments for both guys.

    But here's the kicker.

You and I feel Jones was past his best.

You and I feel prime Jones wins a clear points decision over Johnson.

You're literally reinforcing what I said in my opening post.

Prime Jones was in a different class to Glencoffe, who despite being a good champion, had problems with inferior fighters to Jones. Prime Roy wins a convincing decision over prime Glencoffe.

In addition to Woods, Jones handled Sosa, Harmon and Gonzalez with little trouble, all of whom held wins over Johnson.

Based on resume, common opponents and the eye test, there were levels between prime Jones and prime Johnson.

It can be argued that Johnson was an awkward style for Jones. I'm struggling to see too many other fights that support that though; some of Jones' best performances were against pressure fighters, and he was adept at covering and then scoring with flurries off the ropes. Johnson's cement chin is a complication for any fighter, but Jones dented plenty of those and when he couldn't he was able to keep it long when he needed to.

Either way, I don't see how a possible stylistic issue would be enough to bridge the obvious difference in class between the two fighters.
