Take into consideration how short Manny's arms are. There is less distance traveled for his punches to reach full extension. If Floyd and Manny both hit a target at the end of their jabs in the same amount of time, Floyd clearly has the quicker handspeed.

Pac tops this list by default if you're talking combination punching.

3) Mosely.

Pac is the fastest by far. All his opponents have said it was due to his speed they were beaten.

De la Hoya's corner before he threw in the towel:
'There's no point continuing, he's too fast!'

Ricky Hatton had no idea what punch had KO'd him ten minutes after the fight.

I could go on and on. And on.

On the other hand no-one even mentions Mayweather's speed, it's always his skills and defense. De La Hoya took him to a split decision, no 'there's no point continuing he's too fast' for MAyweather.

PAC is the fastest by A BIG MARGIN.

 

I don't think you have even seen Pac fight? His main advantage is his handspeed, his opponents dont see where the punches are coming from.

Mosley threw some lightning fast right hands at Margarito. I think he had a couple flurries in the fight too. In my opinion at some points in that fight, he looked much faster then Pac or Floyd has looked at welterweight

As has already been said, the speed you see with Floyd is more so a reflection of his excellent timing, rather then speed.

IMO Manny throws arm punches..and in all honesty, anybody can throw fast arm punches.. It just so happens that he's a heavy handed fighter so even his arm punches can be devastating to the wrong opponent. That said, he hasn't looked as fast as he did at the lower weights.

Wow, I actually thought Mosley had the worst jab of them all.. I hate how he paws it out there. I hope he don't plan on coming at Floyd like that. I like Floyds jab the most of the three. It's one of his best weapons and he seems on the right track in bringing it back..

Mosley's straight right is crazy fast.. Floyd's right hand is all about timing, similar to Manny's.

As far as combinations.. lets forget about speed.. Usually when Floyd opens up in a fight, someones getting their ass handed to them :deal. He's very accurate to the body and highly effective with both hands, switching from body to head. Shane and Manny's combinations are often thrown as if they're swinging for the fences
