Look at his opposition PBF Bivol GGG 2x Lara BJS Undefeated Callum Smith who beat a Groves who was on a nice run and Liam Smith Jacobs Cotto Trout Kovalev - shot by still impressive how many other 160 pounders would go up and beat Kovalev at 175? He easily has the best resume today. If you disagree post who you believe has the better resume. I get why people hate on his shady scorecards though honestly the only real robbery I saw was against Lara. @shadow111 has a good breakdown of the first GGG/Canelo fight. Although I had GGG winning it was damn close. Canelo and Usyk are probably the 2 fighters who dared to be the greatest in the past 4 years and deserve respect for that. I
There’s no way Crawford or Inoue deserve to be over Canelo. Canelo is hands down P4P top 3 and it’s not debatable.
The problem is that resume has some really dominant and one sided defeats. Canelo wasn't a kid or 'green' when he fought Mayweather, he was in his 8th world title fight and 7th defense of the title. Got smoked. I mean lost probably all 12 rounds and all but quit in the ring....that's unforgettable against a 38yr old man. GGG won 9 rounds the first fight. That's ugly. (the second fight was competitive but still a clear loss) And now Bivol rips him for what looks like 12 clean rounds? At least 10. He possesses some elite skill, been popped for steroids , has some big wins. But he's far from great.
Orrrr maybe you just bias that could be a thing giving GGG 9 rounds is utterly ridiculous but y’all be making up fantasies like Canelo was about to get knocked out and all kinds of weird stuff, that boy got a draw then got beat down in the rematch you wanna see 9 rounds look at Bivol and Mayweather fights.
And it seems to me that everyone could hardly wait for Canelo to lose. This is how the atmosphere on this forum looks to me. I also cheered for Bivoll. Here's the respect: I think Bivoll has won the biggest name in professional boxing right now.
