Luke is a good fighter but he made it a much tougher fight simply because he’s 4 inches taller with 6.5 inch reach advantage. Loma is a footwork guy, when you have to take an extra 2 steps to make your moves, it makes things that much tougher.

So can’t put it down to skill as much as height and reach advantage.

Absolute credit to Luke Campbell, boxed really well against one of the best to ever lace them up.

Campbell has been better in 2 losing performances against elite champs than many fighters who have won world titles.

When you call someone like Campbell a bum you make yourself look a complete tool.

I don't agree with a draw if the KD didn't happen but you are right about people not able to score a high level boxing match. They were probably just being swayed by the commentary rather than judging the rounds and action purely on what they see which is the problem. The official scorecards don't tell how much Campbell was in the fight and actually take credit away from him.

To be fair he still has to use that reach and height. Excellent footwork is also required just to share the ring with Lomachenko. Campbell boxed well. Showed real toughness to get through the fight as I thought he would of been stopped.

Cmon fella you were doing well about giving credit until you said that . Loma was levels above and 3 times the fight Luke got lucky and that is a fact .round 5 bell him. Round 11 loma stopped fighting allowing round to finish and last round Luke is her him to the floor so don’t try and make out that he his fight was tight because it wasn’t . Luke gets credit for giving loma 12 rounds and giving a good account

Total credit to Luke Campbell. He wasnt the 1st tall rangy fighter to face Loma and he did a much better job than some of the others. What i said about Campbell before the fight was he is good enough to atleast know how to try to make use of his physical advantages. Ive seen many a Boxer come in to the ring with similar physical advantages just for them to be not good enough to use them and give themselves even less of a chance to win than they could of, but thats cuz they just wernt good enough to even try make the most of what they had.

He lost convincingly but was competitive through out. Some say the score cards were a little harsh, im not so sure about that myself but it is frustrating to watch a guy or girl fight so well for round after round but have to give them nothing for it as they are just getting outdone each and every round by a better operator. He was never out of that fight but he was never winning it at the same time.

I cant wait to see Campbell fight again, i cant wait to see Loma fight again. I really enjoyed the fight and the card last night.

You can lose each round by the slightest margin, yet lose a fight 120-108. I think it's OP who doesn't know how to score a fight. My initial reaction was that it was too wide because it felt like a close competitive fight, when I actually looked at my score round by round I had it wide as well.

Reminds me Danny Jacobs in that way. Very solid gate keeper to the top tier.

Understood, but height and reach is a huge size advantage. You still have to be a very good MW in order to share the ring with Loma, size advantage or not.

I predicted it be a tough fight, precisely because of Campbell's height and reach and his ability to use it.

I've sparred with guys 4-5 inches taller than me, its a major pain in the ass, guys with a fraction of my boxing experience, they get by on height and reach and I've seen it in the gym all the time. Just as you have weight categories, you could almost have as much justification for height categories, specially with all the holding inside taking away the one advantage that the shorter guy has.

Fury wouldn't even be a world champion if he was only 6'3 for example.

Very true about the middleweight comment. Yeah they are great advantages if you know how to use them.

I was a very tall light heavy so I just about always had height and reach on my opponents.

haha, we're on the opposite side of experience then. I was usually the shorter guy, so I hold some resentment over those tall dudes popping that jab in my face lol.

There was three Gold medals worth of quality in the ring for sure.

Cambell was patient, read Vasilly as well as anybody has and toughed it out when he needed to.

I don't think Loma is enjoying himself as much working around these rangier lightweight jabs, he will be glad to move back down if he unify's.

I think it's nuts how everyone is talking about Luke's size, but very few people ever acknowledge how much bigger Pac's opponents are. If you mention it, the haters automatically say it's excuse making.

Campbell did good, won a few rds and was competitive for the first 10 rds. Loma had his hands full, ate a few shots when he thought being out of reach, and had to dig deep in the end to erase any doubt.

    Respect due and given.
