I picked Hopkins to win along with most people I was wrong and can admit it and give Kovalev his due unlike other posters who make excuses and don't have any credibility and don't give credit.
I would say Gonzalez is #1 p4p because he's just done the most. His resume is the best of the group. He has to be #1 here.
In my opinion: 1. Roman G. 2. Kovalev 3. Rigondeaux 4. Golovkin 5. Lomachenko Roman is clearly P4P King and it seems clear that Kovalev is in the top 5. However, Rigondeaux probably rests just outside the top 5 and is certainly arguable either way, Golovkin perhaps cracks #9 or 10 in the top 10 at the moment, and Lomachenko comfortably rests well outside the top 30 P4P.
1. Gonzales 2. Rigo 3. Kova 4. Loma 5. GGG Can't rate GGG highly until he steps up. Rigo has Donaire, Gonzales has Estrada, Kova has Hopkins and Loma has Russel Jr. Meanwhile, Bummy's best win is Daniel Geale I guess..
Gary Russell Jr. was barely ranked in any top 10 at the time of that bout. Obviously, it immediately aged wonderfully. But, still... Can't criticize Golovkin's opponents then praise Lomachenko. That's just foolish. Golovkin has about 10 wins, maybe more, that would all be Lomachenko's second best victory. Plus, ya know, the whole losing 20% of your fights thing.
