    Tyson
    Holmes
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Bowe
    Wlad

H2H I have to rank Tyson at number 1, IMO the rest would have been blown away by 1986 version of Mike, on accomplishments then it's a tossup between Holmes and Lewis. I'd favour Larry though, as again, just my opinion but I feel Lewis made a career of beating WELL past their prime former great fighters and it's often overlooked.

Vlad is still active. If he unifies and keeps winning he can move up a bit. He is in his prime now and should have at least 6 good performances in him before he's 34. Let's see who he beats, and what becomes of the fighters he defeats.

1.Lewis(not the most exciting champ of all times, but one of the best)
2.Wlad(he has all the talent of the world to be all time great)
3.Thyson(looked great when beating up bums like Seldon)
4.Holmes(average champ in a weak era)
5.Hollyfield(totally overrated, even struggled with no-hopers like Bobby Cyzz)
6.Bowe(wouldnt be among the top 20 nowadays-in his prime)

There's no way in my mind that Holmes and Tyson don't come first. Like em or not, both dominated the modern era in professional heavyweight boxing - early 80s and late 80s - the others had a whole lot of different conditions to have achieved what they did... Putting Lewis or Bowe in front of Holyfield because they both beat him or Holyfield in front of Tyson for that reason is equally irrelevant... Holyfield had the third most difficult task/pathway after Holmes and Tyson to break through to the HWT Division from the Cruisers and put his heart and soul into it to succeed Tyson - he was the man to beat the man who beat the man in that same year of 1990 ( January - October time span) and had memorable comebacks against either Bowe and Tyson ( much later though), not relevant at all that both Holyfield and Tyson were beaten much, much later by Lewis. Bowe is at the same level of Holyfield but is not to be ranked on top of Lewis for obvious reasons... We simply have no info and material to compare Wlad in paralel with the others so he should not even be ranked above or below them, it's a different issue.

Firstly that wasn't Lewis' prime and secondly, it was a pretty close fight, I had Bruno up by a point or so, no shame in that though Bruno outfought a lot of guys, it was his inability to hold (with an averagish chin) and tiring late that was always his undoing, he wasn't in any other way a mediocre heavy.

I mean hell, atleast Lewis won, how the hell do you bring up that fight then conveniently forget Buster Douglas, now that's what's called getting outfought the whole fight outside of one lucky punch.

Tyson already owned victories against better fighters than Douglas when they fought.

Tyson dominated bum Tony Tucker who TKOed good fighter Buster Douglas for the vacant IBF Heavyweight Championship after it was stripped from former lineal champ Michael Spinks for facing Gerry Cooney... Other bums are former heavyweight titlists Trevor Berbick, James Bonecrusher Smith, Pinklon Thomas, Tony Tubbs, Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, former Olympic Gold Tyrrel Biggs, former Euro, Commonwealth and British Champion Frank Bruno... Actually, I would rate James Buster Douglas just before last ( Carl Williams and Bruce Seldon) in Mike's opposition in Championship fights.

    lewis/holmes
    holyfield
    wlad
    bowe

a few more dominating, devestating performances and wlad will venture into third spot.

tyson -- under cus a true force (his comp weren't bums)
lewis -- due to size and power advantages
holmes -- skill advantages on many on this list, held his own into his 40s
bowe -- beat holy 2/3, shorter time at top than tyson but huge with skills and quickness
holy -- game w/ anyone on list but imo loses more often than not vs all
wlad-- if no chin issues obviously he'd be a favorite over most, still some time for him

how is bowe behind holy on most lists? the guy beat holy 2/3 in their primes. bowe imo also matches up better with lewis, wlad, and holmes.

Bowe is mainly an inside fighter. He is also a big guy. I think he will find more success in fighting guys like Holy & Tyson than Lewis, Wlad and Holmes. These guys can fight on the ouside and keep Bowe at the end of their great jabs.
