This thread is for those that actually got the minerals to tell everyone they believe Ortiz will beat Mayweather.

Before the Mosley fight, same as now actually, there were alot of sissies claiming that Mayweather would "struggle" that Mayweather didnt have the power to "keep Mosley off him" ect ect.

For those who actually have conviction in your feelings, post here. That way we know for sure who actually had Mayweather getting beaten before the fight, instead of those that would merely say "all I said was it was going to be a tough fight yada yada yada"

Mad respect for those who go on record with their prediction. :deal

Can't make my mind. I see Ortiz looking so good in training camp and at the same time I have flashes off his puzzled face while being totally outboxed by Peterson.... I'll make some prediction just after the weight in but for now it is Floyd UD with Ortiz being competitive

Just go to the fantasy betting forum and see who bet on Ortiz not that it means we think he will win, I am supporting Ortiz in this fight but know that Floyd will likely pick him apart I think Floyd will try to stand as he did with Mosley but soon enough find out against the younger fresher Ortiz its not such a great idea

more like.....post here if you bet with your heart. Im getting sick of the mayweather doesnt have enough power to keep ortiz off of him comments. The feints will keep him off balance and when he is off balance mayweather will be potshotting and teeing off all night.

I believe Ortiz has a chance to win. Do I believe it is set in stone, that is the most likely outcome... NO!

But I do believe he will win by TKO, he will catch floyd and floyd will go down unable to recover.

what bothered me with Mosely Mayweather is that, floyds legs look jiggly and he looked unsteady, and that was just by 2 hard rights, not Bombs but two good rights... So when Ortiz catches him with those huge bombs he launches to get inside, Mayweather will fall, or be unsteady but ORTIZ is not Mosely the hunger speed and power, and work rate are much better then mosely... and Ortiz can and will be able to finish floyd if he is in a state like Mayweather when caught with 2 good rights.

The other thing I see is Mayweather winning a boring UD... with the highs of the fight being when Ortiz catches him... it won't be an exciting UD but one with a lot of pot shotting, a lot of ducking dodging, and elbows, similar to the UD's fans and celebrities would walk out of.

Just IMO and I will glady accept the crow if I am wrong, I recognize Ortiz's chances to win this fight and disagree with everyone saying it's an easy fight, and Ortiz posseses no chance at beating Mayweather... I believe he poses a great chance!

  6. i believe ortiz will beat mayweather , if he fights with the intensity he fought berto with he WILL win the fight mayweather is finished his legs are gone reflexes are slow , id like mayweather to win , but ortiz has his number :)

these 24-7 episodes are the worst ....for only 1 reason....they will make you think a guy you thought would have a zero chance to win when a fight is announced..to getting brainwashed and thinking the opposite....first reaction months ago...floyd vs ortiz = floyd-baldomir II ...now i think floyd could lose..its not impossible....but in reality and without over thinking.... floyd wins...it could be very easy..or be very tough...but at least its a fight where hes fighting a kid for a change rather than 40 year old has beens

I dont think his legs are totally shot he hasnt used them in there in his last two fights but lets be real he didnt have to he had old men in front of him with nothing to offer

What I will say is that he was being pushed back by Hatton who is smaller than Floyd and he has been gettin hit a little more these days since the Judah fight the DLH fight showed he can be hit and hit often, Mosley as worn out as he is was able to rock him so I think his reflexes maybe slowin down a bit.

if Ortiz fights the way he did against Berto Floyd is going to be challenged like never before and should he pull it out which likely he will perhaps he gains some public intrest.

However if Ortiz does happen to bring it like that the way he hooks with that left hand (not the straight left) he does hook with his left from the southpaw stance that shot has given Floyd tons of problems with Corley so did Corleys right hook

Judahs lead left gave Floyd problems and again that right hook did as well dropping Floyd in the early rounds.

Ortiz if he brings that fight the work rate being younger and havin big power in both hands he throws those shots he has that left hook and right hook but he also has a lead right uppercut so if Floyd trys to push Ortiz off with his elbow on the inside I would hope that Garcia makes sure that as he does that Ortiz fires his right uppercut as Floyd gives Ortiz that opening

Mayweather is gonna cruise. This aint berto that ortiz is facing.

  13. floyd fought shane coming off a very decent victory over margarito floyd would have been ready and was expecting THAT shane, he didnt know shane would turn old over night , and so i think its safe to say his legs are no longer there , great point about hatton , ortiz weighs a good 10lbs more than hatton has greater speed power and skill , if hatton can push floyd back then ortiz is gonna have no problem in doing so

Well im putting a small bet on Ortiz.
Think bookies are being way too generous to Floyd.

I certainly think that Ortiz has a legitimate chance. Bigger, stronger, hard hitting southpaw with fast hands.

He isnt some crude slugger as some suggest. Former junior Olympic champion,so has a good amateur pedigree and has already been in some big fights.

Deep down I think Floyd outboxes him, but those thinking its some sort of mismatch where Ortiz has no chance, are going way overboard.
