    Has anyone on here actually visited Russia? If so, is it liveable, by your standards?

    Unless it costs buttons to live over there and Roy is having money problems, surly he'd stay in the states or live in the Bahamas etc?

    It depends really on your own flexibility and how can you deal with cultural differences. Its probably challenge to be foreigner in country where people earn 3 or 4 time less than yourself. So if you can hold a low profile (aka 'I'm from states and I'll buy everything'),you have a chance to meet nice people.
    You can forget about becoming a Russian, even if you speak perfectly their language(never mind this Roy Jones citizenship -its only for propaganda). Although Russia defeated Nazi, at present days their own ideas remind Nazi ones - they like to accuse outsiders of their own problems and there is this "Great Russian" idea in the air. In this context they little bit remind me Weimer republic of Germany.

    So shortly - if you can avoid police, drinking with Russians and talking **** about Putin - you would experience OK living standards.

    :lol::lol:

    Thanks for the knowledge. :good

    Any idea on what kind of a reception Roy gets over there?

    I'd like to think that the fighters of the 80's and 90's are treated like royalty over there, no?

    The Heavyweight division isn't the only division in Boxing. Weren't Eastern European fighters literally dominating the Championship list lately?. Also, I highly recommend you give the Olympics a look because Russian Amateur Boxing remains strong and highly successful.

    I've never been to Russia, but based on what I've seen from Rocky 4, I don't think I'd like it.

    We're talking about pro boxing, and you start talking about irrelevant amateurs :p

    And in the other divisions, it's even worse :bbb:!: :deal

    Every country accuses outsiders for their own problems.

    There's no government on earth that isn't pointing fingers at other countries, or at "aliens" within their own country ... and putting the blame on them.

    It's a general rule.
