The question I am asking is why wouldn't Canelo be clamoring to prove the critics wrong. Instead he chooses not to participate in the Clean Boxing Program and the WBC drops him from their rankings. It makes me wonder if he plans to continue to use PEDs right up until he has to start testing prior to the GGG rematch. Very poor decision on Alvarez's team, if only for appearances. He is getting bad advice.

Yeah his reputation is so bad nobody even believe the legitimacy of the hair test.

Signing up would have been a start but clearly he is juicing imo. He has so much money that he cant use the fees as an excuse.

    Terrible decision

I actually believe they kinda thought faq it, his reputation is so bad right now we're going the villain route from now on and make it even worse.
It worked for Floyd, so it can work for Canelo too.

I think they genuinely do not care anymore, the money will keep flowing anyway.

Yeah, but up to this point Canelo had a stellar reputation. The fact that he got caught using PEDs is not a career buster, especially if it is handled properly. But now, with the advice he is getting to not agree to testing immediately may really hurt him going forward. Whoever is advising him to forgo the testing until his next fight should be fired. His reputation is salvageable if he moves fast and agrees to testing NOW.

He is a cheater, end of.
If he was clean he'd enroll in a heartbeat, but he can't beat GGG without juice.

Whoever is advising him not to test immediately and to juice like an apple farm in the interim is doing their job properly. Because Canelo clearly can't win without PEDs.

He couldn't beat GGG with juice, special judges, picked venue and custom handwraps. If the playing field was level they'd carry Pedvarez out on a stretcher.

I agree that he has good skills. Maybe even excellent skills.

And that's what makes it so frustrating to see him acting like a little ginger diva trying to gain every advantage under the sun over his opponents. He's got stamina problems, so instead of running more he juices more. It's shameful. That sleazeball of a promoter of his just makes things worse, too.

You can't use steroids when under VADA. The CIR test they use identifies synthetic steroids regardless of the molecular changes.

So you tell me why wouldn't one subject to VADA to "show" they are clean?

Hmm, you're sort of missing my point. He can't go thru a cycle while under random testing or that is w/o a lot of effort. And just one slip up would basically confirm to the world what we already know to be true.
