I don't think this counts as ring generalship. I know it takes some degree of skill to move around a ring. BUT Lara was doing it to the point of stalling. Whoever is pushing the action should win any rounds that are somewhat close. If everyone just said one day: I will make my opponent come to me, there would be NO FIGHTS. Not a punch would land lol.

Lara was on the bicycle too much. When he was moving back he needs to create space just a bit more than his step in jab range, and once canelo is on the move make him run into punches. I think if you look at the punches overall and damage inflicted, LARA would win the fight. The problem is you cannot make a fight that close when you are running.

Donaire/Rigo was different. Rigo was winning MUCH more clearly while not being the agressor. I also felt he didn't create the vast amount of space lara did in this fight which was borderline stalling.

That being said I think the fight could be a draw, 115-113 canelo, or even 115-113 Lara. But people thinking he got ROBBED are wrong. We all knew if it got the cards it would be with Canelo.
