Same reason ESB is full of accountants, dermatologists, promoters, matchmakers, pharmacists etc I suppose.
I'm disappointed. I always had Rob pegged as an International Man of Mystery - a 007 of the boxing world.
Not surprising that people know about this really. Lots of nutcases on ESB. Many hours on the couch clocked up. Not surprising some of it rubbed off.
Its all hype, both men will employ exact strategies that has won them fights in similar opponents. For an Idea of how Wlad will fight a smaller, technical boxer then watch Ibragimov, Chagaev and Chambers. I dont like going further back than 3 yrs as people and fighters changed but i suppose you could watch the Byrd fight aswell. Haye watch him fight taller men, Harrison and Valuev are the only two that were taller than him in the heavies...he fought Gurov at cruiser who was taller. As i said, if people want to have a reality like assessment of the fight then watch Wlad stick behind that jab, with half extended left hand...watch him clinch, and take his time to add in a right straight down the middle...a tight left hook every now and then...and he only unleashes a combo when he feels his opponent is spent. Haye circles out of reach, leaving his head slightly forward as bait for the taller man jab...once the opponent throws the jab...he moves his head back or to the side followed by a curved right hand or big left hook. Both men have huge power, good speed...and very good ability to judge distance. They will not, i repeat not fight in close quarters..trust me. Early on will be a tactical fight, both pecking at each other...Wlad will be throwing his jab out with more authority...and far more frequent that before but will not risk throwing his bigger punches until later on. Haye will be nervous and without a doubt circle away from Wlad, moving his head and making Wlad jabs miss..he stretch himself to get in and throw big punches but this will be nullified by Wlad holding on. I believe both men will crack each other on the chin and hurt each other at times throughout the fight. As it goes on, I believe Haye stamina will start to affect him, those jabs will start to reign in on him, the right hands will come through and he will be stopped in the 9th round.
:deal I can't believe how many still doubt him, both in his abilities and overall mindset. He'll spark Wlad in style and everyone will be like be kicking themselves afterwards for once again not giving enough credence to his intelligent and accurate pre-fight appraisals of Wlad's weaknesses. I'll be putting a wedge on Haye by KO at 11/5. Analysing the fight I just can't see a way he doesn't take Wlad out.
This man speaks sense. Robotschko ain't a good look stylistically in this fight, not half as much as people think.
A lot of emotion and national pride floating around. Why do the English always lose the run of themselves before a big sporting event. The funny thing is that the English then love their gallant loser. :huh Haye is the underdog going into this fight. Why not approach it with cautious optimism and if he wins shout it from the rooftops like other countries do.
Agree. Everything the guy has said post-Thompson has been absolutely spot on. Maybe the Valuev fight was a bit of a let-down but he's carried out his pre-fight boasts almost to the letter everytime.
