When you can't box with pure boxers in this sport, you crash and burn. the two best fighters Pav faced embarassed him. It's time he leaves the sport before he gets hurt... When you can't over power guys, and you have no real boxing skills, your time is up...

The only thing that annoys me about Pavlik is this: when B-Hop beat him, it was because Pavlik was too small for 170. Now that Martinez has beat him, it's because he was too big for 160. I think it's time we just accepted that Pavlik lost both fights because he wasn't as good as those he was in with.

he shouldn't fight at mw anymore he should go to 168. But he is going to have to travel now for money and titles. He can beat Robert Stieglitz and take his belt.Defend against andrade and bika then hbo will want him to fight bute. He can still make good money his career isn't done but his hype is but noone can take the past away from and he should be proud of his past

NBA, while you're here, do you know what weight PW walks around at? I've heard a whole lot of different stories (sorry for going off topic btw)

At what point in my original post did I reduce Pavlik to being simply the product of a hypetrain? You are merely restating the entire purpose of the original post.

Clearly all your dumb ass did was read the title of my post, without even reading the post itself.

As far as Clottey? I was wrong. SO what? You seem to be one of the few people here who get so ****in offended when someone is adament about a position that is opposite of yours. Get over yourself.

Paul usually walks around in the middle 160's. After he begins training, he naturally loses a lot of weight, and doesn't necessarily need to dehydrate totally in order to make 147. And has to eat pretty heavily to maintain himself close to 160.

I haven't seen him since the Christmas holidays, because I haven't really been back to Aiken, SC since then, but I have heard that he walks around a little bigger than that now.

You are the least qualified person to judge the validity of any 'hypetrain', since you were the driver and conductor of the most pathetic and embarrassing hypetrain of the year. :rofl

    Hypocritical '****.

Yes. I was driver, conductor, and engineer of the Clottey hypetrain. But it failed miserably. He'll be back hopefully with a different attitude.

But like I said before, I don't really consider Pavlik the product of a hypetrain so much as a product of his exciting, less-technically-inclined, fan-friendly style. It was what propeled him, and eventually became his undoing.

I think Clottey will come back stronger and better also. I think Joshua's next opponent could be in line for a nasty backlash from him.

Pavlik was a good fighter, just not that good. He beat the limited Miranda, the talented but fragile Taylor, and has now lost to the two best boxers he has faced. I don't think he was ever seriously hyped as a great fighter or to be much better than he really was, except by a few extremists on here.

Pavlik can win the rematch. This will make for a great trilogy.

Pavlik was a poor man's combo of Don Lee and Mark Kaylor, with all the dynamic attacks sucked right out and the turning cycle of a world war one tank.

I didn't ever see why he was getting the hype he was.Fun fighter to watch and dangerous against certain styles because of his size and power, but not a notable talent.

Meh... Pavlik was OUTBOXING Sergio Martinez for 4 consecutive rounds despite having been badly cut and dominated in the early going. That's just ridiculous when you think about it. Martinez came out like a wild banshee in the 9th and did what he had to do. Sergio Martinez is a tremendous talent with amazing tools. Don't sell Pavlik short. He's much better than he's being given credit for.

How come Pavlik literally couldn't throw a punch in the last two rounds?

Maybe there is something I don't understand about the sport, but that seemed really pissweak to me.

He will move up and be a decent contender.....I think he will be like hatton.....He will win a couple fights against decent competion, and then get humbled again by an elite fighter...

He will go to 168 and be in the top 10.

He couldn't see, and his dumbass trainer should have stopped it b/c of it.
