I don't know how to score the last round I guess I would call it a draw too much fouling by both guys, sloppy round that PW could have won with his jab
True, I gave the edge to Martinez on better shots in the 12th though. Why didn't HBO show the replay to see if Martinez just slipped in the 12th or was hit with a punch and slipped? That's a big difference and they never said anything again, even after Lampley said it was close as to being one or the other at the time. I couldn't tell from the camera angle!
Basically, if I give Martinez round one on my card it's a draw. It was no damned robbery. IMO, but HBO commentary of Lampley and Kellerman must have really influenced a lot of people or they need their eye sight checked! Anyway, I ended up with 115-114 for Williams.
Well, I thought it was a close match and could have gone either way but I had PW ahead by 2 points in the end. The rematch should be dominated by the jab of PW and give him a more cumfortable UD. He doesn't have to put his head down and leave himself open against a guy like Martinez. PW fought the way he wanted and it played into Martinez but the jab should be the difference
That's 4 rounds that could have gone either way and probably more like 5 or six. This was a very close fight but noone should be calling it a robbery that's for damn sure. Everyone has to realize how close half of the rounds were.
