    Q's:

    1. Could it be possible that the soon to be 31 years old boxer, Antonio Margarito has seen the last of his days fighting at 147? Will it be harder for him to make weight at this point in time on his career without compromizing his strenght and stamina? Did Margarito look drained and displayed obvious sings of a fighter that was dehydrated to make weight?

    2. After nearly 15 years of being considered the iron chin man, and after the physically demanding fight with Cotto, is it accurate to said that Antonio Margarito is starting to show the effects of all those fights were he absorb such a high volume of hard blows that seemenly didn't affect his ability to absorb punishment, specially the Cotto fight?

    3. Is it possible that Antonio Margarito took SSM lightly and didn't trained as intensed and as diligently as he did for his defining fihgt agaisnt Cotto?
Perhaps overlooking SSM, and thinking of the rematch against Cotto?

    Q' is maragarito 1 dimentional?

I dont mean to sound arragont, i kinds like the guy but all the boys who were supporting maragrito yesterday were shouting "hold him, hold him" when margo was hurt but this guy didnt know how to hold. he only ever comes forward and never give any angles or sets up his punches

I agree, but he usually made up for his short coming in technique with his relentless pressure, but SSM demostrated tht the best way to handle the pressure is with angles and more pressure moving forward....

so in your opinion should all of Margo's wins be declared NC or just the Cotto win?

Well you do ahve a point, how far you need to go, perhaps the Cotto fight only because it was the rpevious fight to the SSM....but yea it is a legitimate issue....

More thanlikely it will not happend, if SSM was not punish for his roids issue no did RJJ...it is likely Margo will get off with a slap on the hand and pad on his back...it is boxing after all...

    I'll just answer this one.-
    8. In the light of the wraps issue with Antonio Margarito, shoud the Cotto fight be declared a NC?

    HELL YES.

If an athlete tests positive for steroid abuse they can be stripped of medals, records and banned for life. Now, it would be safe to assume this wouldn't have been his first time doing this' The Cotto fight was HUGE in terms of Margaritos career moving forward. Title on the line, undefeated fighter. If he's going to use loaded gloves against Mosley of course he'd do it against Cotto.

In my opinion, life ban and record wiped.

Its harsh I know. But if that was the punishment how many other boxers do you think would even consider trying it?

    Billy Collins anyone?

    sure.

    1. Margo seemed to make weight quite comfortably. Unless he goes on a massive post fight binge he will be fine. If he stays near a gym, he will have no problem making WW again when the time comes. Margo didn't look drained at all, it was Mosley that threw him off. The clinching, the jab, and the movement. And Mosley is strong as an ox too. Not just anyone can go in there and clinch with Margo.

    2. Margo is still an iron chin man. He took so many bombs from Mosley I thought most fighters would have gone down in 4 or 5. Even after the 8th when he took an absolute beating, he was still saying that he's ok to his corner. Even an iron chin will break if you hit it enough. Once again, Mosley hits like an ox. I think he is stronger today than he's ever been.

    3. Margo didn't take Mosley lightly. He trained hard and was in great condition. But its hard to see how he could have been as motivated for this fight as he was for the first Cotto fight. He definately didn't overlook Mosley, you can tell from his pre-fight interviews and interviews from his training camp.

    4. Of course. Like Mosley, Cotto is a versatile fighter. He didn't have the best gameplan in the first. I think Mosley's team learned alot from the first Cotto fight, and Cotto will have both his fight and Mosley's fight to use for his gameplan in his upcoming rematch.

    5. No need to explain. Cotto vs Mosley is an epic battle if Cotto wins the Margo rematch, which I thought he could do since the day he lost the first fight. As for Margo being left outside looking in, thats a definate no. Since he is already signed to fight Cotto, then he is already in. The worst that could happen to Margo is if Cotto loses his upcoming tuneup.

    6. I already explained. When you're past it, slow fighters who come straight forward are a dream come true. Fast fighters who like to potshot are a nightmare. Ask Tarver vs Woods, ask Hopkins vs Pavlik, ask Mosley vs Margo. Then look at Hopkins vs Taylor, or Oscar vs Pacquiao. Floyd can stick and move on Mosley and earn himself a UD. And add to his legacy and bank account at the same time.

    7. I don't know. I'm not a doctor. They may not have had any effect at all. Or they may have changed the outcome of the fight. We'll never know.

    8. The past is past. There is no proof that Margo even used illegal handwraps for the Cotto fight.
