Folks, I have a Spanish version of "Fenech-Zarate" from 1987 on tape.... I know Carlito Zarate was age 36 at the time and up at 122-126 pounds from his Bantamweight (118)) nights earlier before, but while the fight with Jeffrey Fenech was just heating up, the end came suddenly...... What really happened? Who and what got injured?? Zarate looked okay to me.... Did his team merely try to save their man from a brutal KO??? Note: I thought the fight was pretty close after 3 rds........ Fenech being younger and more hungry had the slight edge after 3 rds...... Who knows what? MR.BILL:huh OH! Zarate was dropped in round 4, but he got his ass up to carry onward.......

I'll be dipped........... I saw how Fenech roared out for round 5 but was quickly halted by both teams crowding the ring..... Fenech looked like he was willing to still rumble....... Yet the fight had been called........... DAMMIT! :| MR.BILL
man i havent seen that fight since that night...i dont know if its my bias(being aussie...and jeff being our best homegrown modern fighter...i think so anyways...i think the only person who doesnt think that is mundine)...anyways from what i remmember zarate didnt seem 2 enthusiastic 2 go on...just had a look on youtube n cant find any of the fight...had a fenech video(vhs) yrs ago...try posting this in the aussie forum ... theres sure 2 b some1 there that can help u...ill have 2 try download the fight...
