I've never seen anybody kick Lara's ass.
    I've seen all his fights

Or maybe Monroe was just the best they could do at the time on a limited budget. Sometimes - more often than not, in fact - we just get pointless fights. It is what it is. Sure, read it as part of a cunning masterplan if you like. Maybe you're even right. You ever heard of Occam's razor?

"We keep having this skinny-little fast, lefthanded guy say he wants to fight our guy, who is a killer.

"Our guy has never fought anyone like him.

"This guy is the biggest fight we could take, he's Latino, he just headlined a super-successful US PPV...

"We love our guy, but the last skinny lefthanded guy who could move, (Ouma) gave him problems, Lara is better than Ouma, we know that...

"We don't POSSIBLY want to lose his zero to a guy the public thinks has no chance against him, but we can't have him keep calling our fighter our, what can we do...

"Well, let's put our fighter in there with a close facsimile, but not that experienced or talented, if he looks great, we'll take the fight...."

What is more Occam than that?

    Or how about this....

"Well GGG you looked amazing this first round, you almost knocked this facsimile of Lara guy out already, why don't you get some rounds in, he has zero power, put on a show and entertain the fans, and KO him when you think he's had enough"

And then when he wants to he takes over the fight again and hits Monroe Jr. so hard....HE COULDN'T FEEL HIS ****ING LEGS.

If you think GGG couldn't perform better against Lara than Angulo and Martirosyan then you're ****ing stupid.

    I never said he couldn't. As a matter of fact I have said multiple times I think he would beat Lara, but I am pretty sure of one thing;

Lara wants the fight; Gennady "Manny" Golovkin, and/ or Tom "Bob" Loeffler, do not.

Until they say they do, It's as simple as that.

Right....and what evidence do you have of that?

Lara has never tried to make the match, if he really wanted it he'd have done more than mouth off to douchebag Youtube interviewers, he's using GGG to keep his name in the news and raise his profile, and you know that.

Isn't Lara pretty far down the priority list for GGG? I mean it's obvious that Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs are much more attractive and important fights so why is this Lara thing discussed so much??

    Agreed with above

There is no real demand for GGG v Lara
it would defo be an interesting challenging match up for GGG
But there is no real demand for this fight at the moment

Saunders / Jacobs if Canelo cant get made next

Yeah I think Haymon probably would actually.

Lara isn't exactly a promoter's dream. He's got nothing big money fights on the cards, ever. Unification is pretty much out the window with the Shields situation. He has no reason to protect Lara.

Also, I hear Lara's purse on saturday was $700k. He was absurdly making over $1m fighting Jan Zaveck. Trouble afoot.
