On the undercard: Czar Amonsot (remembered outside Australia for his brutal 2007 melee with Michael Katsidis, valiantly taking punishment until suffering bleeding on the brain which ought to have ended his career - and did, for a while...) knocked out dirty rule-bender Steven Wills in 3. That is the one I was hoping to catch thinking it was the main event. 2012 Olympian Jeff Horn destroyed Samuel Colomban in only his 4th pro bout in a large step up. Colomban had never been stopped (despite being in with Denton Vassell and Wale Omotoso) and was KTFO by the first blow, a minute in.
Up next: Ibrahim Balla vs. Anuntachai Por Sor Lor Krungthep, 4 rounds @ featherweight Round 1 Balla is throwing jabs and quick straight flurries over Krungthep's head. Krungthep is diving in and slashing at the body with diagonal swipes and wide hooks. Lots of scrabbling at the back of the head and near-clinches as they reach, grasp and push. Fast pace, almost too fast to allow either man to remain controlled and smooth in their actions. 10-9 Balla
Round 2 Krungthep is still employing his diving in tactics and getting in some clubbing body shots as he collides with Balla. Hard left rips from mid-range by Balla as he anticipates Krungthep coming in. Jabs to the forehead and smelting rights to the back by Balla as Krungthep continues diving in to grab him around the waist. 10-9 Balla 20-18 Balla
Round 3 Krungthep is circling and drooping to either side with his guard fixed up in front of his face, letting Balla's straight punches roll off the sides of his arms or cascade up the crown of his skull. Balla is taking precise steps forward, steady but measured, neither quite plodding after Krungthep nor cutting the ring off with urgency. Big body shots by Balla. Very little offense in return from Krungthep. 10-9 Balla 30-27 Balla
Round 4 Big lead rights from Balla. Krungthep is getting knocked across the ring into the ropes but is doing a fair job keeping both hands up and mitigating the impact, then springing forward with frantic windmilling combos before Balla can get set. HUGE left hook, scything right, left hook under either side of the ribcage by Balla. That pretty much hushes Krungthep up for the remaining twenty seconds, back to 100% defense, scuffing his feet backward and then grabbing on with head bowed. 10-9 Balla 40-36 Balla
Balla's brother Balla has just won a UD against some Thai guy with a difficult name to go 3-0 on the same card.
Wait, that wasn't even live? That wasn't Balla vs. Brubaker, it was some replay of a previous Balla match. Balla and Brubaker are walking into the ring live now.
And the favorite wasn't even in danger of getting knocked out as far as I can make up from your RbR :verysad
