Matthew Saad Muhammad was a phenomenal fighter with power in his dukes. He could take punishment as well as dish it out. Saad and Qwai had a terrific bout, the other fights that I like was the Marvin Johnson fight in 1979 and the Alvaro Yaqui Lopez in 1980.

Think what you want. People that know me here will tend to disagree. Go climb back back the hole you came from

So basically what he said was that saad a lhw did hit harder than Foreman lol. Classic bad loser giving more credit to a fighter that he did beat but he takes credit from guys who kicked his ass

That and Franklin carried his power late in the fight, which few do.

The only evidence I can find on this is in a short answer Saad Muhammad apparently gave to one internet reporter in an interview several years before his death, in response to a leading question. If Saad Muhammad had really wanted to renounce his chosen name, I would bet that plenty of people would have willing to help him, in his town's Christian community if nowhere else. Have you come across any other evidence that he actually wanted to change his name or are you referring to the same interview?

An article in I believe an Atlantic City interview or local Philly interview. It wasn't in a national paper. He explicitly said he became a born again Christian and didnt want to go by his Muslim name. If I can find it again I will.

Qawi is still convinced that he only lost to Holyfield in both fights because Holyfield was on drugs. Holyfield gets no credit at all from Qawi.

I don't blame Qawi for that.
