Okay, so everytime I play football, after an hour, sometimes even shorter, my left quadricep really ****ing kills, like a sharp pain, and when I kick it again it hurts like ****. Basically as soon as I feel it, I know I gotta stop.

Anyone get this and know whats the best way to help? I've searched on google and that, but would like someone who's had it first hand preferably.

    Thanks!

I pulled my quads before while sprinting. I didn't go to the doctor and it healed on it's own. But it took about 3-4 weeks before the pain completely subsided.

Safest bet is to go see the doc in case its anything severe that requires surgery.

Another good thing about visiting the doctor are all the legally prescribed narcotics. :)

Hmmm, yea, take care of it...don't want to turn into another version of Michael Owen.

    Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RICE_(medicine)

And some drugs (aspirin, advil, etc.)

So that probably also means no football for a while.

Safest bet is to go see a doctor, not carry on and hope it goes away. You may just make whatever it is worse.

Go to a sports physio, not a doctor- doctors know a little about everything, but almost nothing about sports injuries.
