Was wondering how good was super feather, lighweight and light welter (the divisions Chavez dominated) when he was convincingly beating evreyone. Was it a great period of time for these lower divisions like now or a poor time?
    Thanks

I think it was ok, but there was no one the quality of Chavez when he fought there. No one to challenge him. WHen he moved up to 140 he got Meldrick Taylor, but Meldrick was a good style for Chavez even though the speed bothered Julio a lot. Chavez was good but if I had to rate his era in competition I give it a C+. But he still wiped them all out. I give Duran's lightweight competition a D+ to a C-
