So it looks like the televised card is pretty well set, just waiting for the new opponent for Santa Cruz since Rafel Marquez is unavailable due to gallstones. Mayweather-Guerrero Mares-PDL Rosado-Love Santa Cruz-TBA Not looking for people to come in and rip Floyd like usual but more feedback on the quality of the card and expected entertainment value compared to PPVs over the past few years. Thoughts?! :bbb
2/10 and I'm being kind. The main event is nothing to look forward to, Mares-PDL will be better than the main event. Rosado-Love is an ESPN fight and we don't even know who untested Santa Cruz will be facing that night. A suiting mediocre card for a mediocre headliner.
Sweet card. Rafa pulling out actually makes it more palatable. I'd rather see Santa Cruz vs. Malinga II, tbh. LSC is fun no matter who the dance partner is; I just didn't have much desire to see Rafa take a merciless beating.
Rosado-Love intrigues the hell out of me. Mayweather Promotions seems to lack effective matchmaking for their up-and-coming fighters (see Vargas-Josesito, Latimore-Quintana, etc). I think they are hoping for Rosado to be damaged goods after the GGG fight and/or too small for 160. In my opinion, Rosado should be able to take Love into deep waters and will likely stop him. Rosado is an easy guy to cheer for and he's expected to be a stepping stone in this fight. I'm sure he will be at his best.
Again, that's an ESPN Friday Night Fight kind of bout. Go unroll your panties and settle down Bertha.
Yea I'm very interested on who they come up with for Santa Cruz. I'm not expecting much 7 weeks out but we'll see. Is the plan still to move him to 122? There are better, "name" options at that weight. :think
it's a very good card. I'm finding it hard to pick between Rosado and J'Leon. I like both fighters too much and friends with both on facebook
Do you expect HBO Championship Boxing main event caliber fights for all of the fights? When has that ever happened? Prospect vs likeable, tough fringe contender is always interesting to actual boxing fans. Anyway, I'm trying to initiate actual discussion on the undercard fights and not be trolled by meatballs like you. :good
:yep Easy pick. (in either sense, rooting interest or actual prediction) Heart: This is Rosado's last chance. Love can grow & learn from a loss with plenty of time to come back. Boom, decision made, easy work. Head: Derrick Findley - a full grade below Rosado - had Love doing the hot coals dance with his pressure. Rosado is a heavy-handed pipe buster. Boom, decision made, easy work. :good
It's one of those fights where the ***** in my head is telling me to cheer one way but my heart is going the other.
Yet I gave you an opinion on the entire card, fight by fight and all you replied with was a photo that said "Haters, Ho!"? You sure are the image of a non trolling intelligent debater.
