Mayweather and Mares are fighting. That's good enough

A tad or two lower than previous big ppv events. It's a good card but not great.

Mares vs PDL would be good and is always exciting to see Floyd fight.

Good main event, real good co feature, I'll wait on Cruz's opponent but no matter what that will be a good fight, and an okay opening bout.

I think this will rank among one of the best, entertainment wise, PPV's of the last few years.

This really is better than the Canelo fights that have been on Mayweather undercards, I understand it's always great to see Canelo but Mares-PDL is a better fight I can barely watch Canelo-Mosley.

On paper, the Cotto/Margo 2 card looked pretty solid, but didn't turn out that way.

    Rios vs. Murray
    Rodriguez vs. Wolak 2
    Mike Jones vs. Lujan.

The Pac/JMM 4 and Pac/Bradley undercards were underwhelming, as was Mayweather/Cotto. This is probably the best card, top to bottom, in the last few years.

The Caleno/Lopez card was good from top to bottom even if people rejected the main event being a mismatch.

    Bump.

Televised portion of the card was formally announced today:

    Mayweather-Guerrero
    Mares-PDL
    Santa Cruz vs Alexander Munoz
    Love vs Rosado

I expect Santa Cruz to rip through Munoz so that's a bit of a buzzkill with some of the previously considered opponents for LSC.

I rate the card a B-B+ in terms of PPV events. Very solid night with some intriguing fights. :bush

The closer it gets, the better the card, as a whole looks. Maybe it's excitement for big fight night, but likely it is just getting the Canelo/Trout hoopla further in the past and appreciating what we have instead of what we missed.
