    NAME a few fighters who made those most out of their careers despite not having a lot of fights.

    James Scott had 22 fights and beat two No. 1 light heavyweight contenders and several other contenders/fringe contenders.

    Beating Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Yaqui Lopez, Richie Kates, Bunny Johnson, Jerry Celestine and Jesse Burnett in that span is pretty impressive.

    Of course he had special circumstances losing years due to being incarcerated before reviving his career due to Rahway’s prison boxing vocational program that allowed him to fight as a pro behind bars, and everything fizzled after the WBC ruled that it wasn’t going to make him a mandatory and force a champion to fight him in prison — he lost some steam and then got beat by Jerry Martin and Dwight Qawi and retired.
