I don't think I have ever seen these two matched on here before. At 190 who do you have? As much as I love Qawi, I have Quarry winning this battle of the Q's.

Quarry wins this anyday. He was competitive against Joe Frazier and qawi (with some differences) was a crappy version of Frazier

Frazier definitely had way more power that Qawi but Qawi had some slickness to his game that Joe didn't have. I think Quarry vs Qawi would be a much different fight then Quarry vs Frazier. It would be interesting to see who would be setting the tone and who would be counterpunching.

Very different because Frazier is bigger, stronger ,better and harder puncher than qawi

    Quarry by KO early!
Quarry was better than Saad and Spinks whi gave him helluva fight!
He is slower than Frazier with equal headmovement but not strong as Joe!
And he is smaller man even than Quarry and Frazier!
Sorry but only two fighters under 200lbs could beat Quarry!Louis and Marciano!Quarry would beat Cruiser non steroid version of Holyfield!
    Qawi was good but LHW!
Quarry would chop him inside of 5!

Prime Jerry Quarry scores a KO in round 6 over Dwight Muhammad Qawi. Quarry stopped Earnie Shavers in round 1, on Dec 14 1973. And he was engaged in a tough battle with Joe Frazier on June 23 1969, before being stopped by Smokin Joe in round 7.He also stopped Thad Spencer on Feb 3 1968, in round 12 as part of the WBA Heavyweight Tournament. He the dropped a split decision loss to eventual WBA Champion Jimmy Ellis on April 27 1968. He also scored a decision over Buster Mathis, then losing by TKO against George Chuvalo, in 1969. Jerry is a very good combination puncher, and is very durable. Qwai is a good light heavyweight as he defeated a worn Mathew Saad Muhammad by TKO 10, on Dec 12 1981, for the WBC World Light Heavyweight Title. He is a very slick counter puncher, who wll wear you out. But Dwight was defeated by a come backing George Foreman. Jerry would use his size and experience to overcome Qwai. Dwght's venture into the heavyweight division was not very successful.

I agree that Quarry would win but I wouldn't take much from Foreman's KO of Qawi. Qawi was a full blown alcoholic at that point and way way past his best. The Qawi I am talking about is the guy that gave Holyfield 15 rounds of hell at 190. Qawi was definitely at his best at 175 but he definitely would give Jerry a tough fight at 190.

On another note, I'm not sure why people like to compare Qawi to Frazier? Aside from being stocky black guys they really don't fight the same at all. Qawi is not going to try to walk Quarry down like Frazier did.
