Holmes probably takes this... but a good toss up. Nothing would surprise me.

I have a sentimental favourite in the tournament, but my only real hope is "anything but Ali-Foreman II". Something about a hypothetical poll of a real match-up is slightly anticlimactic.

Even with all the double votes by alts for Wlad , Holmes is still a hair away from winning.

If we are talking who could turn it on late , Holmes could put the pedal down full speed in the 15th, the 15th yeah!?

And Wlad near got himself ko'd late against Haye and had to hold on for dear life to survive.

And Wlad never won a hard fought competitive fight besides Peter I and Sam lost that fight himself due to woeful conditioning.
So not only do these Ktards think Wlad wins , they think he defeats him easily without breaking a sweat.:rofl:nut

Woeful conditioning and the fact that the man wouldn't know a straight punch even if he got hit by one...

Will these guys commit virtual suicide if the Klitschkos make it to the semi-finals? It seems likely.

I agree. I have a feeling Ali vs. Vitali or Lewis could end up being the final. I didn't follow your tourney at all, how many heavyweights were seeded from the beginning?

If the Klit sisters make it to the semi-finals then it only means that this forum has gone to utter and complete ****.

No 'ATG' would ever go life and death with Sam Peter.

Wlad escaped a ko loss because Peter was too slow and unfit to catch up with him:patsch

    Started with 16:

    1. Lewis
    2. Vitali
    3. Ali
    4. Holmes
    5. Wlad
    6. Tyson
    7. Louis
    8. Holyfield
    9. Foreman
    10. Bowe
    11. Frazier
    12. Johnson
    13. Marciano
    14. Jeffries
    15. Liston
    16. Dempsey

The seeding round was public, where anybody who wanted to participate posted their top 10 H2H heavyweights in order. Frequency of votes and position of votes were used to score, and the seeds were arranged from highest score to lowest score. From there, it was the usual 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc.

After playing keep away for most of the 11th round and losing a couple of votes in the process, Wlad finally throws a right with a minute to go and lands it flush on Holmes. Holmes is wobbled, but he recovers well and tries to answer back with a right of his own, barely missing. Wlad is back up by 6.

Will that give Wlad the courage he needs to try to get Holmes out of there early, or will he cruise, content that he's about to win the 11th with a lead Holmes probably can't overcome without a dramatic knockout?

Holmes launches a desperate rally to find Wlad's chin in the closing seconds of round 11, but grazes it as Wlad rolls with the punch. As the bell rings and the fighters return to their corner, Wlad's confidence is back up. Holmes is trying to take the play away from Wlad, but Wlad has been able to answer every rally in the 11th with one of his own, and he now takes a slim but significant lead into the 12th.

Has Holmes been saving it all for one final push in the 12th? Or will Wlad manage to keep him away long enough to preserve his lead and eek out a close decision?

The 12th and final round is about to begin....
