oh **** the poll appeared after i posted.:patsch

I pick Foreman in a KO win in the first fight.....LL had problems staying focused and MaCall and Rahman caught him having a nap at the wrong time. Foreman would have walked a prime LL down and belted him out again unless LL ran and fought like the older version tended to do after his coach taught him how to take a more clinical approach to his game

Georgie wins 2 out of 3:deal

lol, it usually takes a few seconds from when I post the fight and when I post the poll since they are on two separate screens, and I double and triple check to make sure I'm remembering the correct matches.

Whoa, I know it's early, but I'm surprised to see Big George leading so far. If it holds, this would be a huge upset, seeding-wise.

It's hard to beat a power puncher like Foreman. He's not as undersized as a lot of the power punchers Lewis faced are, and he most likely hits harder than all of them. He'd get caught, but as long as he was any kind of focused and methodical as he was in the second Frazier fight, he would eventually walk Lewis down.

Foreman by KO 2 of 3 times. Lewis could outbox him though, if he doesn't come correct

I read about this in an issue of Ring Magazine... Those fools had Lewis winning AFTER getting knocked down.

Ironically, Foreman mentioned Lennox Lewis as being an opponent he NEVER wanted to fight.

Furthermore, I doubt that Lewis would have underestimated any version of Big George. LL would have showed up focused and well prepped.

Lewis, prime-for-prime, quite comfortably wins this fight. I'm surprised that so many people are picking otherwise.

George Foreman himself called Lewis the best heavyweight of all time.

Even if Foreman manages to knock Lewis out in fight one, are any of you seriously suggesting the same thing would happen in the other fights? Madness.

You really shouldn't be. Think about Foreman in his prime, if he was a little smarter and more calculated he would have made work out of Ali.

Now think about Lewis in his prime, he was definitely a beast and one of my favorites but he was definitely beatable, period point blank. He was just a skill set or two ahead of most of his opponents and didn't fight the same level of competition that Foreman did. His best tool was being able to keep fighters at the end of his jab. In regards to him versus George Foreman, as written above, he would have got walked down/cornered like Foreman did to just about every fighter he fought in his prime and trapped in a situation he was unlikely to win. He would be much more likely to hit the ground and not get back up than Foreman would. I think Foreman wins this by KO before the 6th.

Wow dramatic comeback for Lewis in the poll. This is turning into a great battle.

Probably much like an actual fight would go.

Either version of Foreman had a punchers chance.

Older Foreman was too slow though for Lenny, and young Foreman too wild.
If Foreman would have kept his head during the late 70's and continued his career, evolving his game and growing in maturity, he very well may have been GOAT.

But it took him 15 yrs to develop the patience to wait for openings. And he wasted yrs outside the ring. Had Foreman not lost his head, we may never have heard of Mike Tyson or Larry Holmes, except that they once upon a time met PRIME FOREMAN and got KTFO.

Sadly, that didnt occur, and George is a tale of two career.

Young Foreman woulda been smallish compared to prime 32-35 yo Lewis, and was to wild....old Foreman was too slow.

Neither version beats 32-35 yo Lennox Lewis.:nono

It's funny as I think Foreman prob has the best chance of beating Lewis but not necessarily a lot of boxers not as good as Lewis h2h if that makes sense. I still think a prepared lennox is too skilled and beats Foreman but Big George always has a punchers chance against Lewis.
