Ha ha, conspiracies against Lennox ahoy!!!! Only joking, I actually have Big G taking this, ha ha. I'm a Brit and huge admirer of LL but.....I look at the first round in Zaire and think only someone as fleet of foot and defensively solid (with a great chin!) as Ali could have stood up to that. Look at what that sort of thing did for Frazier!
Peak Foreman was a hard, determined and ruthless juggernaut although I do see the argument for Lennox, seeing that he had the greater versatility and also was good at tying up. Very hard to pick and a real 50/50 due to the power shots both men could pull but I just go for Foreman based on his almost demonic force in a tear up which I think Lewis' technical ability is not able to prevent.

Just one man's opinion though, the poll rules all!

So when do the polls for this round end?

    When Lennox takes the lead...?

    edit: nevermind... April 5th.

i think a few of the rats are on the go, yes. but it's mainly Americans who are pushing for the Ali win. you see if you stop Lewis from getting to the final, you're going to have Foreman and Ali meeting each other.

Ali beat Foreman. they'll say he does it again.

a brick wall could analyze this ****.

none of the people that picked Foreman to win believe in their vote.

just look at Nonito Smoak and what he wrote... he said Lewis didn't have anything of the skill that those who beat a prime Foreman did.

a bum called Jimmy Young dominated a prime Foreman on the back foot all night and counted Foreman with ease like it was for fun. Foreman just couldn't fight on the front foot.

Jimmy even dropped Foreman, and he couldn't punch for ****.

but a Lewis who does everything better (i can't believe i have to even write this) in every department on the back foot, would get knocked out early by another overrated American heavyweight.

Foreman has 4 wins of worth in his entire career.

Frazier: played to George's strengths by walking into his big shots.

Norton: mentally shut down against big punchers and got took out quickly by them.

Moorer: another mental midget with poor punch resistance and bad stamina.

these three are tailor made for Foreman. it's not a coincidence that Foreman doesn't really have any wins outside of these guys. Foreman just wasn't that good. the Americans though, believe he was a legit ATG. and that's the level of delusion that people are dealing with.

if you didn't know they were a bunch a Trolls after your first day here, then you must not be able to read situations all that well.

this place is full to the brim with biased, egomaniac Trolls.

you should have made the polls so we could see all the names.

then people can be seen for what they are.

I didn't vote in any of these match ups so far, but I feel Prime Lewis should be able to beat Prime Foreman in a close but clear match, Lennox gets my vote.

Foreman got all the votes from those grills sold under his name, and the USA population.

Got to go with Foreman here , too much power . Lennox's no master boxer with defence and Foreman can hit him with ease on the ropes and at centre ring. Foremans ring pressure would cause huge problems for the safety first cautious Lewis.

Foreman wouldn't land much because he is way too slow and technically limited, while taking tons of huge punches as he gets systematically destroyed by a bigger and much better man. Lennox by KO.

If he had a better draw LL could actually win this fantasy tournament.
Unlucky for him (or is this the OP's plan?) he gets matched up with his poison early on, wich is a big huge hitter with the very good chin.
    Foreman probably lays him out.

Gotta love the conspiracy theories directed my way. I didnt decide on the seeding arbitrarily, I calculated it by collating the most frequently mentioned 16 fighters on an open thread several weeks back. Both how often someone is mentioned and how high up they are mentioned play a role in their ultimate seeding.

As shocking as a couple of poll results are so far, I'm actually happy about it. My biggest worry was that the seeds were perfect and the favourite would win 80/20 every time, which would make for a boring and predictable tournament. The surprising results are driving the high participation numbers that I didn't see the first two rounds.

So no, I'm not a Russian fanboy spy, not a Ali-loving yank, and I don't own any Foreman grills. :)

Nice to read you don't have a hidden agenda.

I'm a Foreman, Lewis, Wlad, Tyson, Louis, Frazier and Vitali fan wich on this board is somewhat of a statistical impossibility.
By the way, why don't you own a Foreman grill?! :bart
