This is a very difficult fight to call. When Quartey wrecked Crisanto Espana, he looked like an unstoppable beast. But, I was ringside when Ike went life and death with Oba Carr. Norris was considerably better and hit much harder than Oba Carr. It would have been an interesting s****.
Norris would have been too quick for Quartey. Quartey was at his best at 147 where his strength and size played a part. Norris was at least as powerful and far more fluid with his hands and feet. I don't see a KO either way, but a pretty clear UD for 'Terrible Terry.'
His jab was imposing and thudding in person. But, Carr made Ike miss a lot more than I expected. It isn't so much that Ike is just a simple plodder. But, as hard as his jack-hammer jab was, it was predictable. Even Carr started to avoid it and time counters as the fight progressed. Carr didn't have an Iron chin, and I expected Ike to mop the floor with him. But, it was a VERY close fight. And, Ironically, the only fighter to touch the canvas was IKE in a flash knockdown. The fight was at MSG on the undercard of Roy Jones - Tony Thornton. (Jones DID mop the floor with the "Punching Postman.")
