Qudratillo Xabibullo Ogli Abduqaxorov 08-29-1993 is a 5'8 Welterweight with a 11-0 8 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Qorgontepa District, Andijan, Uzbekistan. What a awesomely badass name. While he may not have gone to the Olympics or have a celebrated high profile amateur career which he began at age 11 in 2004, his record as an amateur is still quite an impressive 170-10 (80 KO). While I would typically say its too soon to tell whether or not someone this young will be a force in the division, he already has one of the more impressive wins on his ledger, in a match that most thought would be a bridge too far at such a young age in only his 11th match he chose to face awkward as all hell Zimbabwean Charles Manyuchi, who was coming off of upsetting highly touted Russian Welterweight Dmitry Mikhaylenko in Russia by UD. Well it proved to be a great decision since he annihilated the teak tough Manyuchi in 1 round dropping him twice in the process after Charles was clowning around. While his style isn't all that pro friendly, its efficient enough, albeit a bit robotic, but that may be an asset rather than a curse. He has most of the fundamentals down pat, a piston like jab, a tight high guard, good head movement, cuts off the ring well, nasty little hook to the liver, and a sneaky overhand/lead right. His style is vaguely GGG like only with less power, or at the very least he doesn't utilize it well. Was the Manyuchi KO1 victory a fluke? Or does this kid have the goods? (I predicted the Qudratillo victory BTW) Time and a few more step ups in class will tell, but IMO he's got a ton of potential, and if his chin holds up, which it probably will, he just looks like he's got a iron chin, then QA might just take the division by storm. Started to believe his hype just a little too much, as minimal as it may have been, and must've thought he had an iron chin. Guess not.
Not wasting any time with this kid are they? He's going to face Dmitry Mikhaylenko on July 10th in Russia.
The Manyuchi win was no fluke. The Punisher is the real deal, he beat The Mechanic is fairly impressive fashion.
Can anyone break down how to say this guys name? I'm usually pretty good, but this one's got me. I'll just call him Boggle in the mean time.
