Clashing with Boxxer's show at Wolverhampton. I'll be watching Boxxer's show to be honest. Good to see Liam Davies active. Hopefully Essuman and Collins are in actual fights. Cacace vs Garner and Bentley vs Heaney are domestic fights but they are mismatches. I presume that the arena in Liverpool was booked as it would have made more sense to go there. Anyway, I used to get hate on here for posting threads like this when nothing was announced, so keep the same energy for TBC!
Surely Cacace must be fuming with Warren? He’s 34 and back to fighting a domestic opponent who hasn’t even fought anywhere near British level. What’s Warren’s plans for him as it seems like he’s in no man’s land waiting for a big fight. How come Boxxer are thinking of changing the date? An issue with Ben Whittaker vs Ricky Summers? I know Boxxer are having issues with the Billam-Smith / Okolie / Masternak situation.
Sounds like a good show if these rumours are true. It will make a nice change for there to be 7 title fights on the card, as the Queensberry cards that I have watched recently have been featuring prospects vs journeymen on the tv segment. I’m surprised at them stepping up Garner against Cacace. It feels like this fight may be a bit too early for him, although I wasn’t overly impressed with Cacace on the Belfast card earlier in the summer.
Tbh I think Garner should be the one fuming. Is he really ready for cacace? I thought Garner was one of Frank's "close ones" There has been concerns over garners "out of ring activitys" in the past. Maybe Frank feels that this is time for pulling ur socks up now for Ryan.
They genuinely looked at a Foster fight, but the nos didn’t work plus Eddie had a better deal for him. I think George also asked Eddie to consider Cacace as an opp for Cordina, but that obviously didn’t come to anything at this point. They have probably offered Cacace a good purse and asked him to take the fight, whilst they try to engineer something bigger next year. In the meantime, Frank maybe hoping Garner can pull the upset, so he doesn’t have too. I just don’t believe the Boxxer show is fully locked in, otherwise George probably wouldn’t have clashed as he is paying out a hell of a lot of money on purses for that show, so will want maximum viewership for TNT.
This content is protected Very good card. Disappointed in Nathaniel Collins' opponent though but good to see him active. Essuman was ordered to fight in an IBF eliminator against Cody Crowley which Warren won at £50,000 but it seems like Crowley pulled out. At Essuman's age he should be fighting opponents above domestic level. I wonder how many tickets they'll sell considering they have Heaney on the undercard. This might be Heaney's final fight. Disappointed that they decided to clash with Boxxer.
Just saying what I see. It's a fantastic card and I'm looking forward to Ball vs Dogboe. It is true though that Bentley vs Heaney, Cacace vs Garner, and Collins vs Miller will be mismatches. I presume Warren's plan is for Bentley to win in November and Sheeraz to have a fight in December, so that they can face each other next year. Unfortunately it seems like that Rankin vs Kozin will be quite far up the card. Essuman vs Scarff is a decent fight but it looks like it'll be before quite a few fights.
