Frank Warren announced that he has signed a 4 year extension.

    Big announcement on Wednesday apparently.

I personally hope that Queensberry in the new agreement with BT Sports gets a little more money to work with so it would be possible to raise the quality of their events.

It's not been great recently has it? There's a lot to like about the way BT Sport covers boxing and the collaboration with Queensberry started out well. Frank had a better stable then, he's lost several big characters and the replacements haven't lived up to expectation. I cut them some slack for the disruption caused by the pandemic, but I hope both they and BT are not going to try and do this on the cheap and pad out their cards with more 'learning fights' because there's been far too many of those recently...

Bigger venue required for Frankie Boy as Earn's Matchroom have a block booking at the York Hall and Leisure Centres.

Timing must suggest Saturday did quite well.

He said it was confirmed Saturday before the fight, so negotiations obviously been going for a while.

Top quality post. Yes, it’s hard to get excited with his history, lacklustre main events, half empty venues, terrible undercards, pull outs, late cancellations and a reliance on PPVs going forwards. I won’t put the bunting out just yet.

    Pride Park is good,
Joyce vs Parker is good but annoyingly PPV
Yarde in the undisputed fight is also very good.

So hopefully his content picks up.

Some good main events in the pipeline but really been very poor shows in the main.
