Why do people think this would be a tough fight for Floyd? Sure, Khan COULD give Floyd trouble, but it would only be for a couple of rounds. It wouldn't take long for Floyd to start timing Khan. People forget that Floyd is a master at adapting. And quite frankly, Khan isn't on Floyd's level.
where are these fictious skills of amir khan!! this **** has never avenged any of his defeats to these inferior guys, but he beats floyd?
Timing beats speed. Khan would be easy work for Floyd. Please remember that Khan lost to Prescott, Peterson, and Danny Garcia. Khan wasn't too quick or too slick for them, yet you think he beats Floyd? lol
don't know about you guys, but I'm liking this new world of parity in the welterweight division I like that there are now a number of fights to be made with Floyd where people won’t immediately go “that fight sucks, Floyd will win every round.” Sure, Floyd will be favored in all of the potential fights we could name, but they would still be credible, dangerous fights, and a Floyd loss would shock me a lot less now. And if Floyd did lose, **** it, he would still get credit for continuing on and beating other great fighters. I don’t think losses take anything away (reputation wise) from aging masters. No one should expect a 40 year old fighter to be as good as his 30 year old version. Anyone who believes someone cannot be beat under any circumstances, well, I have a lovely bridge to sell you.
He should have blasted Peterson, but couldn't do it. Elite boxers would have shut Peterson out, not make it close.
It's not just that he has gone life and death in quite a few fights with what should be considered 'inferior' opponents against this mythical fighter Amir Khan.
Khan can give Floyd problems for maybe a couple of rounds. Once Floyd adapts, the fight is pretty much as good as done.
His rangey hard-straights style could prove difficult for Floyd's shell style, but Floyd's reach may help counteract that. I don't like Khan and I know his career has floundered with multiple catastrophic losses, but he is one of the most worthy Floyd opponents right now and the freshest as far as style vs style is concerned.
