Hello fellow posters... no this is not a thread to bash Mayweather jr., I'm just curious about what boxing fans think of some aspects of his career.
    My questions are:

    1) Which do you think is Floyd's most underrated victory?

    2) Which do you think is Floyd's most overrated victory?

    3) Which do you think is Floyd's truly biggest victory?

And that's it, so please let's not make this a nut hugger/hater war. Thanks in advanced for your opinions :good

Good questions. I think Genaro Hernandez would be underrated because of how long ago it was. He was young and facing a champion who only ever lost to DLH previously, and it was only his 18th fight.

Overrated is hard for me to pick, because so many people bash so many of them. In a sense Corrales could be picked because he didn't do as well after fighting Floyd, but at the time it was huge. I suppose Judah is a good pick because he already had been beaten by Baldomir, it probably shouldn't have ever been made.

Personally I pick Hatton as his biggest victory. After moving to welterweight Floyd hadn't knocked anyone out, and Hatton was really coming to fight, as well as being one of the most popular fighters in the world.

I have more than one ... the first Castillo fight stands out because it was a test of Floyd's mettal ... he stood before a knockout artist with a good chin ... Floyd was going up in weight and although he was the more talented fighter ... he was up against a guy that was more rugged than any guy he'd ever fought.

The Corrales fight ... because Corrales was undefeated - a former champion - tall - relentless - and had a bunch of knockouts coming into that fight ... was a p4p fighter and on the verge of great things ... alot of people thought that Floyd could possibly lose that fight.

The fight with Demarcus Corely ... you seen a more aggressive side to Floyd.

Genero Hernandez - the man to beat at 130 lbs ... only loss was going up in weight to challenge DLH ... tall rangey guy ...

    Agreed with #3

Baldomir might not have had that much clout coming into the fight with Floyd, but this man held the Linear/Ring/Recognized Undisputed championship ... another creditial to add to Floyd's resume -
No one else out there was jumping at him ... no one else (other than Gatti) wanted to make the fight happen.

Arum couldve brought Cotto up to fight this guy and it wouldve gave Cotto a little ground as far as his status among the welterweights.

Unfortunatley it will probably turn into a hater war but here goes..

    1) Could be quite a few to choose from since the haters never give him credit for any of his fights..underrated: Jesus Chaves. I never hear anybody talk about this fighter here. Chavez would go on to be a champion again at both superfeather and lightweight and have give Morales a good fight with only one arm. Mayweather also took a couple good shots from Chavez (I said couple), Mayweather used his infighting skills in this fight.

    2) overrated: I cant choose any. Each fight means something :bbb

    3) Biggest victory: Diego Corrales. One of Floyds best nights ever. Trained his ass off and it showed on this night. His physical tools and quickness and speed on this night is something to behold and marvel at and know that not everyone can possess what he possessed on that night. He trained like no other and like I said it showed. It showed in his performance in his legs his speed his stamina. Everything was on point that night especially with his offense. He wasnt content on relying on his boxing abilities.. He tried to do it by putting out offense and it worked. His greatest night ever.
