I'm very curious when these guys will meet another major ABC belt champion, next year or in 2015 ? At MW div. for 3G are: Quillin (WBO) , Barker (IBF) and Martinez (WBC). Of course @ MW could be other intersting fights for 3G like Jr and Murray but when 3G will get a title unification fight with a major title holder ? Same for Kovalev . At LHW div. are Stevenson (WBC) , Hopkins (IBF) and Shumenov (WBA). Also a fight with Pascal-Bute winner would be interesting too. So when 3G and Kovalev will get a title unification fight ? :think

Damn. All fights which I would love to happen, but sadly probably never will. Quillin and B'Hop are, of course, on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain (wrong 'cos at 160 and above the action's all HBO). Shumenov's still not found his lost glove (though it's rumoured he's considering buying a new pair for the Kovacs fight in November - after which he's gonna sit at home for another year polishing his belt) and I think he's aiming at becoming the longest reigning champ in history by dint of never fighting. Stevenson has Cloud and Bellew lined up (I'm not sure he beats Cloud tho' it's probable, but he runs right through Bellew IMO) but a Kovalev fight could potentially be made next year - certainly Superman doesn't seem like he's sitting on his belt, at least. Pascal/Bute would be a great fight for Sergei, but obvs not a unifier. Hope it gets made next year. Martinez could happen. Sounds like Maravilla himself is probably willing even if DiBella ain't so keen - thing is, it will be Sergio's last fight, so the money would have to be very good. More likely Maravilla's looking south for a big payday without such a risk of injury. Barker, I think wants to hang on to his new belt for a while, but my feeling is he will have lost it before a GGG fight even has a chance of happening. Looks like he's angling for Sturm next, which he may well win if it's in the UK (ain't sure it gets made tho') although Geale's maneuvering for the rematch. For next fights I think we may be looking at Murray (after Stevens) as a mando, and Fonfara for Kovalev.
indeed. too bad that nowadays ABC champs don't want / are not willing to unify their titles and they'r trying to milk their titles as much as they can. :-( anyway as u said, some of these champions will lose their straps someday and some certain fights won't be so interesting as they are right now. Quillin should go after 3G (cuz he's the man @ 160 right now) and fight him no matter if he's with SHO/GBP . And what he does ? He says that 3G is not a name and don't present any interest for him . patsch
