One of the reasons black or simply anti-racist posters troll on Eastern Euro fighters' threads.

Timely post Aqua you racist f#kkwit.

Who cares, these fighters don't represent you.

Nope...I try to treat both exactly the same, however since I'm both white, and predisposed towards following ex-soviet fighters, I have to actively try to understand what's driving similarly racist black (or asian or whatever) posters.

In short, to maintain equanimity on a multi-racial site a degree of empathy and intuition is required - I have to take account of my own innate prejudice just to be fair.

You're entitled to your opinions, but if they are offensive towards other users of a site, then expect consequences. I'm not a mod or anything but what I come on this site for is genuine and constructive boxing discussion, not endless racial trolling from either side of the fence.

If you think I treat black trollers any differently, feel free to look through my back posts both here and on NSB ('scene).

If you want to air your racial views, find somewhere else to do it, this is a boxing site.

  4. Black Americans are pissed off that an Old Hopkins and featherfisted, ducking, never fighting against real Europeans Floyd are the only one boxers left in the business. They try to claim GGG is one of them :deal

Deal with it .. GGG is a European, with some Asian roots. Europe and Asia has a long history together. Just check out how many German words are in the Japanese and Korean language.

GGG is a product of Russia, Korea and Germany, growing up in the European Kazhak part.

We all know you guys consider him white. If you didn't he would not be getting hyped.

    Agreed.

Most of the racism I see on here comes from bitter, white-hating black power ***gots. The type who can't stand to see successful white boxers so try to bash them whenever they get the chance.

This is going to be the first time I ever agree with you on something. Well said.

He does indeed, but identifies himself as Kazakh, a region that in spite of the wholesale (and largely involuntary) colonisation during the soviet era, has a strong cultural tradition - especially in the martial arts - in common with the other central asian states.

Incidentally, I had previously heard no hints that Golovkin had any German heritage (presumably via the same 'Germanisation' efforts that led to the Volga German population) do you have any references to back up this claim? It simply seems a stretch given Golovkins already mixed heritage, though I'm well aware that a number of boxers and other sportspeople gained either German citizenship or working visas under this aegis without it necessarily being strictly accurate.

 Everybody's trying to claim Golovkin. If he ever loses sooner than later, i expect to see threads like "Another eurobum got exposed".

  9. The Klitschko's are Orthodox Christians.

I don't know where you got the idea that he was a Jew.

GGG definitely looks like a white/asian mix to me (thought he was Kazakh as that's how many of them look). As has been pointed out GGG identifies with Kazakhstan because he was born and raised there. Just like most Americans identify with the U.S.A even though very, very few of them are ethnically American.

I agree with Koba, there is an equal amount of racism from black and white on here from what I see and they fuel each other so this place becomes pretty ridiculous a lot of the time.
