People on here are constantly talking about how awful Khan's chin is. Now I've seen the Prescott fight and obviously his chin looked pretty bad in that fight. I haven't seen any of his early career though, all I've seen of him is the Prescott fight, the Salita fight, the Mallinaggi fight and some youtube highlights.

What I'm wondering is, other than the Prescott fight have there been any other examples of Khan having a "Glass Jaw"?

Because the way you guys talk about his chin you would think he's been knocked out ten times. I'm not asking because I'm trying to suggest his chin isn't that bad, I'm just asking out of curiousity because I haven't seen much of his career like you guys in the UK have. So let me know, what other proof is there that he has a terrible chin?

His legs completely went spaghetti back in the amateur games. He didn't just get knocked down because he was off balance or extremely hurt, but his legs had that wobbly jello effect. It was similar to the way his legs gave when Prescott hit him.

Maybe a UK poster like Alok can post the clip. I should have favorite'd it.

khans been down a few times in his career. Professionally against light hitters such as limmond (though he wasnt really hurt), gomez and obviously prescott.

i personally dont think his chins that bad, but his knockdowns at the time were more to do with his weight and the fact that his legs were too skinny. Ariza has now taken alot of muscle off the top half of amirs body and "transferred" it on to his legs hence better balance. Granted kotelnik isnt the hardest puncher in the world, but khan still took everything he had. So yeh khan doesnt have the best chin, but i think his chin issue is very very exaggerated

Yeah his chin looks ok at JWW, though he hasn't fought any heavy punchers. I think he might be kind of like Cotto. When Cotto was at 140 his chin was bad, as soon as he moved to 147 he had one of the more solid chins in the division. Maybe Khan's move to 140 has done the same thing for him.

Have you got a link of the fight with limond when khan was decked for the ten count but got let off due to favouritism.

Bearing in mind he was a small former featherweight with 8 kos in 30 fights.

I give full credit to khan though as he showed great heart to come back in that next round.

Hes been officially down 5 times as a professional.
First time he was knocked down wasnt really a legit knockdown, more of a technicality, he slipped when a punch was thrown and the ref gave it on a technicality, not hurt at all.

His first legit knockdown (a very serious one) was against Willie Limond, a non puncher but not fully featherfisted, but far far from a puncher. he caught Khan with a Temple shot, wobbled him, followed up with 4-5 more Temple shots to knock Khan down and have him hurt through the rest of this round.

His second knockdown was against Micheal Gomez, a decent pressure fighter with a fair bit of pop but at super featherweight not so much at lightweight (Khans weight at the time). He scored a flashknock down over Khan with a left to the temple, he got up and was fairly ok but it was a bit of a shocker considering it wasnt that much of an accurate shot.

Then of course Prescott, Caught with a left AGAIN to the Temple, then 2-3 more to the temple followed. He gets up in 3 seconds, wobbly as hell, Then immediatly takes another 4-5 temple shots and the final one being to the chin i believe.

I would not say its as bad as suspected, alot of the times he got wobbled, (Limond and Prescott) he stayed infront of his guy and continued attacking and THEN got floored with a few more punches, not just one or two shots, and aswell as the majority of them being TEMPLE shots, not chin shots. Hes got a bad chin but not to the point where he gets put to sleep with one shot whenever hit flush. Far from good but not terrible.

Yea, that's what I mean. I like him because he has potential to become the next Villain of Boxing, but even guys like Lazarus have to accept the truth.

I think the fact that he's been dropped by light punchers is what does it for him.

So why do so many people on here act like he has the worst chin in boxing history?

Because he has the worse chin out of all the popular fighers as of current.
