In between rounds, when the camera was in Martinez's corner, the interpretor said twice "His hand is hurting" but, as far as I know, neither fighter actually reported a hand injury after the bout. Am I mistaken and there was an injury, or was this a misinterpretation?

Misinterpretation. What they said was you're hands/punches are hurting him (Williams).

That's an awful translation. I thought he meant either Williams or Martinez had broken their hand.

Forget the interpreters...I just watched it again tonight...the HBO team was so off on their commentary at times, it's ridiculous.

Agreed. One of the worst calls I've seen, and that's bad considering it only lasted four minutes. After the KO Max made a decent commentary though.
