Question About Oscar's Rehydration on Fight Night against Pacquiao

atschHow am I underrating Pacman when I dont see him beating a prime Oscar?

Oscar has been the ring with harder punchers than Manny during his prime and he beat some good fighters in his prime...He was able to take punches from power punches and he didnt go down so now all of a sudde Pacman is suppose to be this unstoppable machine??? Not buying that dude...I think a prime Oscar would put on a clinic on Manny.

 

since when does it take an unstoppable machine to beat Oscar in his prime. Mosley did it at 147 and was beat by Vernon Forrest right after. Pac's got the style, the speed, the strength and the skills to beat Oscar at 135 or 140 for sure, and at 147 quite possibly

 

The problem with Oscar is he didn't have anything to rehydrate. That's why he barely put on any weight between the weigh-in and fight night. He hadn't fought at 147 in years so for whatever reason, him and his trainer decided to get down to 147 a whole month before the fight. Maybe just to prove to the doubters he can make the weight with no problem? :huh

Most fighters gradually lose the weight as the fight gets closer. So by the day of the weigh-in, the fighter is usually dehydrated from the intense workouts and will rehydrate before the fight. With Oscar, he was already at 147 weeks before the fight. He had nothing to rehydrate. That's why he came in so light and so dry. He never had a chance. Oscar probably starved himself for weeks to stay 147 all those days.. that's why he was a walking corpse in the fight.

 

atsch You just dont get it do you...why are you bring up other fighters when Manny doesnt even fight like them??? Shane Mosley fights nothing like Pacman and I doubt Manny is even stronger than Mosley....I give you this Manny may have the better all around skill but that doesnt mean a thing if he couldnt even gain his respect...Like I said in my previous post...oscar has been the ring with bigger and stronger men and he manage to beat them..So you're trying to tell me that a smaller Paman will stop a prime Oscar when Tito, Mosley, Chavez (who hits a lot harder than Pacman) couldnt do it??? Manny would be to small for a prime Oscar period.
