I was just wondering. If Pacquiao and Mayweather go to a 3rd party accounting firm to determine their purse split, will the 3rd party accountant also take into consideration that Golden Boy always stacks their undercards with more marketable fighters thus creating a fight card that will attract buyers looking for more than just a main event/marquee fight?

Top Rank is known to have crappy undercards and is old school in that the main event is really all they are selling.

Do you think going to a 3rd party accounting firm is really such a great idea considering that Golden Boy Promotions has stated many times that they put on bigger events with better undercard fighters than Top Rank?

No, it wouldn't be a good idea for Top Stank to agree to let an outside accounting firm have a look at their books because they'd find that Uncle Bobby has been lying like a mother****er about his PPV numbers and would probably end up coming to the conclusion that Pacquiao's mongoloid looking ass should get less than the $40 million guarantee that he was already offered.

    :deal

Pacquiao would be exposed as the fraud that he is. Claims to have made 63 million/2 fights, but in reality makes only 6/fight. :rofl

    Floyd 85 million 2 fights.

    U mad, *******s/Pacquiao?

Arum takes the rest of Pacquiao's pay.

It's a legit question MVC. Anybody who knows boxing knows that GBP goes the extra mile to make an overall better event than Top Rank. Just look at September 15th. Compare GBPs entire card to Top Ranks entire card.

If you like, we can compare the entire events for both Floyd and Pacquiao since Floyd returned in 2009. I'm willing to bet you that GBP has more marketable events.

this idea of letting somebody else looking into TR's book was started by Schaeffer/GBP.

GBP accused and sued TR for underreporting Pac's PPV and other income on his fights. GBP believed they should have gotten more share from Pac's fights when they were co-promoting with TR.

MVC, can you please stop commenting? I was really hoping for some intelligent discussion and you've turned this into the ghetto.

Instead, you can start a thread about me and call me names and stuff. Thanks

Does it really matter what the undergrad looks like for this fight? I'm pretty sure it's going to break records wwith or without a good undergrad so for this fight no it shouldn't be taken under consideration

P5, the undercard for PAC vs Floyd is not the question.

The question is, should the 3rd party accounting firm take undercard fighters, opponents, scheduled dates, etc from Floyd and Mannys recent events into consideration if they are recruited to determine the purse split, or do they just ignore all the variables like a 3rd grader would?
