    They will look at fact.

You thinking that they put on bigger draws is irrelevant. They will look at only the numbers that the fighters produce.

Casual fan makes up majority of buys, not us hardcore fans who know who a Bradley or Canelo is.

    :deal

They will look at the numbers that each headliner produced. JUST ABOUT NOBODY orders fights for undercards.

    Floyd Mayweather PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (2,400,000 buys - est. revenue $138,000,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (920,000 buys - est. revenue $46,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,050,000 buys - est. revenue $52,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,400,000 buys - est. revenue $78,000,000)
vs Victor Ortiz (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $78,400,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,500,000 buys - est. revenue $94,000,000)

    Total buys = 8,520,000
    Average buys = 1,420,000

    Total est. revenue = $486,000,000
    Average est. revenue = $81,150,000

    Manny Pacquiao PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $71,000,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (850,000 buys - est. revenue $42,500,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $72,500,000)
vs Joshua Clottey (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)
vs Antonio Margarito (1,150,000 buys - est. revenue $57,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,340,000 buys - est. revenue $73,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,450,000 buys - est. revenue $74,000,000)
vs Timothy Bradley (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)

    Total buys = 8,690,000
    Average buys = 1,086,250

    Total est. revenue = $460,500,000
    Average est. revenue = $57,562,500

$81,150,000 (Floyd's average est. revenue) + $57,562,500(Manny's average est. revenue) = $138,712,500(Combined average est. revenue)

    81,150,000/138,712,500= 0.585=59% rounded
    57,562,500/138,712,500= 0.414=41% rounded

bobotnoman said I would post this so I must post this.

There will never be any 3rd party accounting firm having anything to do with Pac, ever.

Arum will make sure of that. :yep

No offense, but this is just sillyness. Let me ask you a question. Take for instance 2 companies that have been in the news recently Apple & Samsung. They are both vying to be the biggest, strongest and most profitable out there. If their numbers are looked at, would Samsung be reasonable in saying "well, Apple is an American company" or "they have better engineers than we do" or whatever they could say? OF COURSE NOT! They would be laughed out of the business. It doesn't matter what the reason for the larger numbers are, the only thing that matters is the BOTTOM LINE! Who brings in more revenue and who has the biggest numbers PERIOD. Anything other than that is just an excuse.

Floyd allying himself with GBP, who puts on better cards than TR can't be held against him. Pacquiao allying himself with TR, who does not, can. This is just a smart business move by FMJ and not so smart by Pac.

So to answer TS question, WHEN it goes to a 3rd party accounting firm sometime next year, only the BOTTOM LINE will be looked at.

    Damn good post!!!:huh:thumbsup

Thanks bro. But I would bet my first born, that Arum will NEVER let the 3rd party accounting firm idea go through. Just the fact that he no longer allows the realease of the offical numbers from Pac's fights tells us all we need to know.

The undercard is very important for this fight, If Mayweather and Pac do fight, it will receive very high viewing figures from around the world. Boxing must show the world what it has got and show exciting fighters.

in short, no. pac would still be taking less of a cut. he tried to have chavez jr on his undercard when he fought cotto and he still couldnt beat floyds numbers with cotto when he had canelo on the undercard

No one was buying those PPVs to see Canelo beat up a mismatched opponent.
