Clean and hard landed punches is the first scoring criteria. After that come effective aggressiveness and ring generalship.

Now I don't remember round 6 but if, let's say, Bradley in that round landed 35 clean shots and Provodnikov 5 (out if which 1 that hurt Bradley near the end of that round), then I think it's not enough from Ruslan's side to turn it all around.

Do we have any judges or refs here @ esb??

Peep round 10 for what effective punching vs clean punching looks like.

Since I stay away from amateur stuff I usually roll with the more effective blows

Bit of a biased poll. Prod landed more than one big punch in the round.

lol that's a completley different type of round we're comparing. Margo landed much more than Ruslan did in round 6.

But you scored the 6th round for Ruslan, even though in your eyes Margarito "landed much more" than Ruslan did, though Bradley was basically zombie'd?

    because Bradley was seriously hurt..

but overall, did a better job than Cotto @ controlling the round. he wasn't on the backfoot.

Bradley was much more hurt than Cotto. but, if you read the opening post, you'd know that i had a hard time deciding who to score it for :hi:

50-50. pretty much gave it to Ruslan cuz he needed it.

I usually score for who did the most work in the round, landing the most clean shots. I remember people saying Johnson beat Dawson in their first fight because he hurt Dawson more. Despite the fact that Dawson controlled most of the rounds by landing more but would occasionally get hurt by Johnson.

i gave the 6th to Bradley. yes, he was hurt. but it came from a couple of shots. Bradley landed enough to take the round.

Ruslan took the 7th on my card.

    9,10, and 11 are a ***** to score.

Round 6 was definitely Ruslan's. He got outlanded, but hurt his opponent badly. All three official judges scored the 6th round for Provodnikov as did Lederman, as did I.

Actually the 9th Round I believe that was one of Bradleys best rounds, I mean over all what he does in there a subtle adjustment that I noticed, he does a excellent job of putting his head right in Ruslans chest and firing hard shots working very well while giving Ruslan little to no target to find.

When Bradleys head is like that on the inside he is a different fighter harder to hit due to size, but that has also been whats has made people accuse him of using his head.

almost the way Holy would work Bowe on the inside if you work like that you can feel the left hooks or right hands before they are thrown, and it also keeps the upper cut out of the mix...
