Question about signing up for amateurs

    I got the papers in the mail, i received 3 Forms, the athlete form, non athlete form, and a background release form. The questions i have are what do i need to the non athlete form for?For one I dont train at a gym i train in my garage and i have a few ppl helpin me . and on the background release form it says name of organization what am i suppose to put there?? If someone could answer i'd really appreciate it. Also what is the cost? I cant get ahold of nobody from my boxing commission

    get ur back side down to a gym if u want to be a fighter.

    yes i am. Do i need someone in my corner registered to? I'm jus curious cause like i said i dont belong to a gym and workout in my garage with ppl helpin

    But really, you should belong to a gym. Is there a reason that you aren't? To be honest, I've never seen anyone who is self-trained (even with 'other people helping' them) be successful.

    Yes, you need a registered athlete, at the very least to work your corner. They have to be a registered coach to get inside the ropes between rounds.

    How are you planning on going about getting matches? Who are you going to spar with?

    theres only 2 gyms around here and both are useless...i will find people to spar with...and what do you mean a registered athlethe? What if i wanted my friend or uncle or someone like that to work my corner?

    You have to be registered with USA boxing to be in the corner.

    Either way, good luck. You're going to need it. :-(
