    i once heard that he had said george "scrap iron" johnson was his toughest opponet .. anybody know if this fight is on film?

    HMMMM.....Love to see it... 'The Thrilla' must have been one of the hardest for any contender... IMO.

    Joe Might of sad that in an Early career interview - Prior to Bonavena !
    - Or he might of simply ment that Old Scrap Iron was the Most Resilient at absorbing a constant Beating and still plugging away, ? Old Scrapiron was indeed known for his toughness, often without actually threating to win, hence his long career as trail horse to upcoming prospects.
