question about sparring

    I read this morning that Lucian Bute is sparring 18 rounds in a row, for his fight against Librado Andrade, scheduled the 24th of October. Is that the average?

    He sparrs in 3 days a week,one day 10 rounds,then another day 12,then another day 15-that's what he did sparring for Joppt,prolly for Andrade he getting more busy

    He is a gym rat,gets over 100 rounds of sparring for each fight

    That's why he looks fresh after 12 rounds, and that's why he starts his fights a little bit slowly maybe. He's often 3 rounds on the choke before beginning to take advantage of his opponent.

    depends on the fighter I guess , Kessler only spars like once a fortnight , where as Toney does little else.

    18 rounds on the bounce is a f**kin lung buster mind you , must be a fit boy !

    Well... sometimes Mayweather is sparring a dozen 15-minutes (yes) rounds.

    I think they can open some additionnal sections and add a couple of thousand more. Bad seats for boxing, of course.
