they never, ever mention ANY of the titles.

All they will say, in the case of Ricky Burns "he is a title holder" Victor Ortiz "he is a title holder"

in the case of the JM Marquez "double belt holder + the true lightweight champion"

Sergio Martinez "the true middleweight champion"

They never mention any of the organisations, trust me I watch a lot of boxing on HBO.

I havent really watched HBO (when I do, Im not a huge fan of the commentary and often have it on mute), so Im not disputing it just wondering what the score was :good

Its the best way to go about it if you ask me.

 simmer down sunshine, you totally misunderstood that post.

The Ring does not recognise the WBO...so what? Doesnt affect how they rate Burns.

I noticed Fana and Burns were # 1 & 2 respectively in the ring ratings last edition, so a fight between the two would be for the belt. Thats the fight I would like to see.

    Which part is bull**** :huh

I bet you give the likes of Gallagher a pass for allowing that shite last night whilst he allows Crolla to duck Limond and Wright.

How dare you summise my opinion, what have I said to even warrant such a comment? FYI crolla should drop back down imo, especially if he doesn't fight viable contenders.

Thats a fair enough position to take I guess.

The Ring usually does the same, but when pushed to do so they will only list the WBC/IBF/WBA/Ring belt holders as world champions like they did this month. I would prefer they stuck with just recognising their own titlists to be honest.

But that makes no difference to how they rate Ricky Burns in their ratings. Its just some US snobbery towards the WBO, as they have no strong connections with the organisation.

Fwank Waren made a shitty offer for Fana to fight Burns in the U.K. So Fana refused it but his team offered a far better offer for Burns to fight Fana in South Africa and Waren refused it.

He clearly has no intentions of any unification fights for Burns. If Burns gets by Perez for his mandatory, I'm expecting another 3 Nicky Cook type opponents.

A fight vs Adrian Broner he's WBO Intercontinental Champion so be might be his mandatory soon anyway in the US would be good for Burns if he beats Cook which i think he will be it would be good exposure in the US

Not when Broner beats him it wouldn't be. I made a thread on Broner months back saying I thought he could beat Burns. Now I want him too.
