Not trying to be a hater here or anything but in hindsight, how impressed are you now with Floyd's win over Oscar. I thought it was an average win at the time and now I think it's even less seen as how he was dragged the distance in a split decision wheras a guy that was figthing at 130 about a year ago delivered a one sided beat down. Your thoughts?

I thought he played it safe with Oscar because he respected him.
I also thought he won the fight by UD so his win is still respected at least Oscar tried to fight him.

You don't think that Oscar tried against Manny? Don't you think that it's easier to look like you are trying against a guy who is respecting you and a biot scared than it is against a guy who is throwing punches and beating on you non stop?

I wasn't impressed with the win at the time, and Pac's win over Oscar hasn't changed that. On the night Floyd was sloppy and lazy, doing the bare minimum needed to get by, he was very lucky that the judges weren't as incompetent as they often are and gave the decision to a past-prime Oscar.

It is what it is: an money fight where Floyd probably showed too much respect for a much bigger fighter. Remember, this was a non weight-drained Oscar and he was coming off a KO of Mayorga.

Floyd fans don't even consider this a career-defining fight; it's not really worth critiquing because nobody even puts it on his top 5 accomplishments.

nothing against manny but floyd fought him at 154, which was a better weight for DLH. manny was by far teh better fighter but you have to at least wonder how much dehydration caused DLH. he only put on 2lbs after the weigh in, thats very wierd, especially when he was supposed to be the bigger guy in the fight..
