LOL stop boxrec-ing. You know one opponent he fought in 2003 has 42 losses........yep 42 losses. I don't care about the 0, but 42!!! LOL Boxrec is my friend too, so that is some 20 fight win streak hey. Oh and he was offered more money to fight Margo.....funny that he didn't want the extra money either haha.

Everyone who knew anything at the time knew Margo presented a far bigger challenge. And you know it. He is a DUCKER.

I'm not really a Mayweather fan, but i think it would be good for him to fight Margarito (as his first fight back). I think floyd would win the fight fairly comfortably, but it would also be against a respectable (if the gloves are checked ;) ) opponent and i think would probably out do the pacquiao fight on PPV.

He could then look to fighting the mosely berto winner.

Pac didn't want to take the test, so it ain't his fault the fight didn't happen. As far as his next fight, he should fight someone in March, from getting ring rust. Then fight the winner of Mosley vs Berto. I believe that is his plan. That's the biggest fight other than Pac for him, as far as big money.

nah i didnt go to boxrec, if i did I would have said exactly how many he'd won in a row, i said twenty something off the top of my head...yes he came out of nowhere, but after his judah victory he was considered to be a force...its not floyds fault that he was the guy who was at the top...u didnt listen, HE OFFERED MARGO A FIGHT INSTEAD OF ZAB IN LIGHT OF HIS LOSS, AND MARGO DECLINED. AFTER MARGO DECLINED HE DECIDED TO FIGHT ZAB ANYWAY...and u still never answered: WHO HAD MARGO BEAT AT THE TIME TO ESTABLISH HIMSELF. We already know who Baldo beat to get his shot, ur just basing it on margos future accomplishments to say he shoulda got the fight instead of baldo.

Baldo beats Judah and is considered a force, GTFO. He was easy pickings for Floyd and a route to avoid Margo, who was considered better at the time. The guy balso fought who has 42 LOSSES was 4 fights before Judah. So in 4 fights Baldomir becomes the best....is that what you are seriously saying??

You haven't answered why Floyd hasn't fought Cotto, Margo, Mosley, Quintana, Williams, Berto....basically anyone at welter of note???

zab was the undisputed champ at 147, buddy if u beat the man, u become the man...yea u can say that now about judah but he had just knocked out spinks i believe and he was an elite fighter at the time...ok, to answer ur questions ill break it down for u....

cotto- offered him a fight at 140, arum wouldnt allow it, said cotto was too green. cotto came to 147 after floyds retirement

margs- already answered that, he did offer Margs a fight...once floyd retired margs wound up becoming the man, and by the time he came back margs had gotten whooped

mosley- he tried to fight mosley on two occasions, and the fight did not go down because of shane (not saying he was ducking, but for reasons that had nothing to do with floyd the fight did not happen). floyds camp has gone on record and said they are looking to fight the shane/berto winner

berto- will get his shot if he wins...not a realistic option he has proved nothing to deserve a shot, but if he beats mosely he damn sure does deserve it.

quintana- Get the hell outta here

    cintron- See above

williams- anyone with a name in the 147 division (Floyd, Cotto, Mosely) has ducked him because he is a tough fight and financially brings nothing to the table (no fanbase, maybe alot of internet fans, but he is not a draw at all)

guys like quintana, cintron, berto (if he werent fighting mosely) are PERFECT for his fight coming up on march 13. but at the time of his retirement, the only one who was relevant (champion) was margs, so its ridiculous to say he ducked these people. the fights did not happen, but to act like it was floyd running away scared is not true at all

By that logic he has to either beat Shane or Manny to become the "man".......:smoke

Wow you have an excuse for all of them, Quintana is better than Baldo IMO. When you were writing that didn't you think "wow Floyd has avoided all these fighters."

Yes for some there may be reasons, but you have reasons for all of them, can't you see it. Dudes a ducker, well he coulda tried for a Cintron, Berto, Quintana on his comeback. But we know how Floyd likes an lil en.

if u read it u will see that he offered fights to all of the relevant ones (cotto, margs, mosely), sans williams...i agree, he could have picked a real welterweight for his comeback, and enough of that smaller man bs, a man doesnt move up in weight and fight smaller guys at the same time...he fought jmm b/c he called him out on live tv, as did mosely, and if he does not fight mosely i will lose respect for him...u r right about him needing to fight a ww, he has had his time off and his tuneup so now its time to have some real fights, i just think u are overly critical of him and impatient.

As you said he offered fights to them, i say they offered fights to him.
I am critical of him but IMO i have valid reasons why; he hasn't fought what i regard a good welter for his duration at being at that weight (about 4/5 years i think). For someone who is as brilliant as Floyd (and i don't mean that sarcastically) that's not good enough.

He said this, the other fighter said that, all the end of the day, he hasn't fought good opponent at welter.

Cotto, Margo, Mosley have all fought each other.
Cotto has fought Quintana, Quintana has fought Williams.
    Margo has fought Williams.
Clottey has fought both Cotto and Margo.

Floyds name is totally missing, so regardless what has happened, the common denominator is that Floyd someone manages to get outter these fights. All the fighters above fight each other, why not Floyd??

Tho i must say you are a good poster and its been nice arguing lol. Like some you see things from the other persons point of view (as i see where you are coming from). Take it easy mate.
