I don't hate floyd and I actually am not very fond of Mayorga but I still think that the answer on this is pretty obvious. It's the way each guy fights.

 

There's a double standard it's obvious. PBF talks **** he's seen as a cocky *******. Mayorga talks **** he's seen as a funny, wild and crazy guy or did that go over your head to?atsch

your doubt means nothing. lets see how many people buy floyd's fights without dlh present. from rumaging around this board for a while (not always as a poster) i have seen nothing but outright dislike for floyd's persona outside the ring. on the same token i have seen more people enjoying mayorga simply for his antics. like i said the man is simply more entertaining and i'm sure a poll would prove it. it seems that floyd's main appeak is seeing him lose which doens't say much for his entertainment value.

 

Maybe it's not a matter of people conspiring to hate PBF, but a matter of you needing a sense of humor? Or the ability to recognize that which other people find humorous, even if you don't yourself? You could substitute anyone for FMJ here; SSM, Paul Williams, Bronco McKart, Vitali Tsypko, Chris John - anybody you stack up against Mayorga, with the exception of maybe Darchinyan or Hopkins, isn't going to come across as as colorful, funny, or effective an antagonist.

 

Don't be ignorant. You know full well that popular opinion tends not to sway in favor of the pure boxer but rather the straight-ahead warrior.

 

Whether or not either one of them is funny is a matter of opinion. Personally, I find Mayweather to be funnier. All of Mayorga's quotes have to be translated which,to me, takes some of the humor out of it. Also, Mayorga makes too many vulgar comments about peoples' family. I can't stand De La Hoya, but I see nothing funny in Ricardo talking about sucking on his wife's titties. Floyd has crossed the line himself(specifically when he fought Corrales), but he's not as bad as Mayorga.

 

There you go you just answered your own question. The majority of fans perfer to see a brawl

 

quit your double standard remarks already, that's all you've been saying this whole time. there is no double standard here. they both talk **** but one is more entertaining when he does it than the other. it's that simple but it seems your floyd joy nuthugging won't let you see that your boy just aint that fun to watch, both in and out of the ring.

 

i did find floyd to be funny here and there on 27/7 but i found the press conferences leading up to DLH/Mayorga to be WAY funnier. i get it, floyd has money, haha.

 

I thought he was hillarious on 24/7(even though some of his antics were uncalled for)

 

there's a world of difference between Mayorga and Mayweather.
would Mayorga run and pot shot his way to victory, or literally cry in the face of a little criticism? would he ****.
Mayorga is a genuine badass, Mayweather is a shallow, spoilt little shithead with little personality.
